Gosh this new thriller is good so far - episode 2 last night. Hugh Grant really seems to be coming into his own as an actor i recent years and it is good to NK with with her lovely naturally curly hair left to its own devices (mostly!).

Pity it's only on Sky.

Anyone else watching it?

Did she tell anyone about the elevator, Namsnanny?

By the way, that's Nicole Kidman singing the theme song - Dream a Little Dream of Me.

Yes a clever twist Jane43 . Shame it’s finished. I didn’t think Nicole K looked like a doll, just couldn’t believe how she looked exactly the same as she did in Bangkok Hilton so many years ago, even with plastic surgery.

If she did perhaps HM should have asked for her money back. She is rumoured to have had one lately- she is 75.

Didn’t fancy it as have always been allergic to Nicole Kidman (but don’t know why!) Doesn’t help that she now looks like a dummy in a shop window.
Trisher, Helen Mirren had a very noticeable face lift around the time of Prime Suspect, which amused me as she promoted creams to get that effect?

Atqui I think her taking the stand was planned (by her) as she intended to 'put the boot in' in that she knew her blonde friend would tell the prosecutor about the conversation they had. So in order for those points to be raised, she had to be in the witness box.

Yes the while thing was planned when Nicole Kidman’s character phoned her lawyer friend Early in the morning and asked her to go for a walk with her as she wanted to talk to her. The lawyer friend knew the Prosecution lawyer from law school so would have passed the proposed plan and information about Hugh Grant’s past with Nicole Kidman‘s blessing. It was a clever twist that we didn’t see coming.

I agree lemongrove, Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant both gave outstanding performances. We watched the last episode tonight and we both thought it was one of the best dramas we’ve watched since Chernobyl. We are going to keep the Now TV entertainment package over Christmas because there are lots of box sets from Sky Atlantic that we would like to watch such as My Brilliant Friend Series 2, Prodigal Son and Succession.

It was an all round good production I thought, great acting and plot and dialogue.Hugh Grant gets better and better with age.Nicole Kidman is looking a bit odd with all the work she has had done on her face ( stop now Nicole!) Nichole? But as always, she is a good actress.

Thanks Lisagran I guessed that had happened but must have missed the conversation ( knew she’d asked friend to meet for a walk) .So did I miss the whole, point of her volunteering to take the stand?

I just wondered if it was a normal thing in posh peoples' gyms- no one else seemed to even glance at her. Now if you did that in our local swimming pool (You can't anyway they have now banned women stripping their cossies off in the showers!)

Namsnanny Sun 06-Dec-20 10:59:10

rosecarmel She did tell Johnathan (Hugh Grant) though, which I suppose was the reason for being so provocative.
That and showing off her power
(Sexual attraction) over the husband

rosecarmel Sat 05-Dec-20 17:34:11

I thought it equally as beautiful that Nicole Kidman's character didnt much mention to anyone, if at all, the intensity of the gazes, the gym and what took place in the elevator .. smile

Not that I mind nudity BTW ... but walking right up to your lover's wife when she is sitting down and you're in the nude, is aggressive in a way.

fevertree Sat 05-Dec-20 16:59:54

Oh I remember that now! I hastily averted my eyes.

If I had been Nicole Kidman, I'd have stood up, fast!

Lisagran Sat 05-Dec-20 16:35:50

But she was a very beautiful young woman - and it was part of the storyline - she was “showing herself” to her lover’s wife. It wasn’t gratuitous.

kittylester Sat 05-Dec-20 16:04:25

I dont remember that - must be getting past it!!!

trisher Sat 05-Dec-20 15:49:42

fevertree The murder victim. In the locker room, at the gym, with the wife. I'd check the pattern you might have dropped a few stitches! (It was quite full frontal) grin

fevertree Sat 05-Dec-20 14:52:03

Who was starkers in Episode 1?! I must have been 'eyes down' at my knitting at the time ...grin

rosecarmel Fri 04-Dec-20 22:27:09

smile

Lisagran Fri 04-Dec-20 14:49:04

Why?

Anniezee Fri 04-Dec-20 14:40:47

Turned off after the full frontal in the first episode!

Lisagran Fri 04-Dec-20 13:05:03

Enjoy, Jane43!

Jane43 Fri 04-Dec-20 12:37:27

We just got a week’s free trial of Now tv and will be watching this Before the week is up.

MrsThreadgoode Thu 03-Dec-20 18:48:45

Terry Wogan said that the biggest star was always the Murderer, that’s why we wavered about who did it! So many stars in it.
