The Vicar of Dibley 2020

I never thought the Vicar of Dibley was remotely funny. My DH loved it.

It could be very funny sometimes. I loved Liz Smith and her culinary creations! I had recorded it. I did read some dreadful reviews about it. Whether I was unduly influenced by this I dont know(but unlikely). I watched five minutes but it was awful so didnt bother with other 5!

I have never found Dawn French funny.

I’ve always loved the programme and most others that Dawn French has been in. Watched the first 10 minute ‘sermon’ and was very disappointed.

I specifically looked out for it, but was very disappointed.
Afterwards I read so pretty poor reviews from people who reflected my thoughts.
Shame.

My husband enjoyed it.........I was disappointed.
We both loved the original programmes and are watching them again on iplayer

The original series is on Netflix.

Haha..I put it on looking forward to it. Quickly turned it off as felt it was me being patronized and preached to. Completely unfunny.

BBC woke nonsense.

I agree Missfoodlove it felt like a lecture- I think Dawn is getting a bit too preachy for an actress or for anyone really - no not a fan anymore.

I never found her funny at all but I did like the various villagers and I loved Alice.

I’m was so disappointed. I love Dawn French I think she’s a great writer but I watched the bits she’d written over lockdown last night what a great disappointment !!!! It wasn’t funny at all. I also think she needs to stay away from politics as well. So disappointed

I thought Richard Curtis wrote Vicar of Dibley with Paul Mayhew-Archer.

I've had a better laugh watching Victoria Woods's various concerts. Still difficult to realise that she's no longer here

Taking the knee, she is now definitely off my watch list! All lives matter. Where is the BBC going.

I only saw the one with Alice's husband ( can't reremember his name ) and it was rubbish!
