No it isn’t: it’s proper period drama isn’t it. Still can’t get All4.

Am I right in thinking that it used the same location as TWIN? It just reminds me of something I read after I’d watched that series.

Alishka. Have you watched Virgin River? I think you might enjoy it, or Chesapeake Shores. I believe we watched them on Netflix.

I didn’t see the first series, but am loving this series anyway and binge watching it.It’s amusing and lovely in every way.
The costumes and period detail is very good, and the Scandi interior of the hotel seems so modern ( compared with other European countries of the time) those lovely soft blues and whites ( and the William Morris style wallpapers in the bedrooms.)

MayBee70, after reading about it here, i Googled it and yesterday and today I've watched both series - might have been BBC4 or All4?
Give Google a go! It's a Walter Presents production.
Loved the 20s/30s time, the clothes, the haircuts, the scenery, and the songs. Real escapism stuff, with none of the gratuitous violence of 'today's' offerings.
If this is Everyday Life in Lockdown viewing, I'm all for it.smile
Thanks Greta for the recommendationflowers
PS, any more gems you've come across?

Is it repeated at another time. I can’t get catchup for All4.

I have really enjoyed watching Seaside Hotel on All4 (Walter presents). It's a Danish period drama (with subtitles). Not another Nordic Noir but a thoroughly enjoyable series.
