I gave up on it. It just didn't hold my attention. I like Tom Hanks and was looking forward to it too

We watched it last night, I'm not a fan of westerns, my husband is. I found it okay, I like Tom Hanks and the young German child actress was very good, but I really didn't love it. There are a couple of very violent references in it as to how the girl's family were murdered, I'm not sure I'd watch it with fairly young children Eloethan.

What is the age category? Is it suitable for children 8-10?

I agree about the young girl, she did have a very striking and expressive face which was important to her role as she didn’t speak much, it was lovely to see her smiling at the end. I said to DH if Tom Hanks is in a film you know it’s going to be good.

The young girl is a 12 year old German actress I was reading. She’ll go far I should think. Apparently she didn’t realise Tom Hanks was so famous.

A very enjoyable film, and Tom Hanks was brilliant as always. The young girl had a very expressive face, I thought, and she was also very good.

I watched this film this afternoon and really enjoyed it, so nice to watch something that is not full of bad language.

I saw it reviewed in my newspaper and am looking forward to watching it. Looks like the sort of film that DH would have loved, and in the old days we would have made an outing and gone to the cinema to see it. I have kept the review to remind me to watch it.

A beautifully filmed, old-fashioned Western. I did watch between my fingers once or twice, and cried "Good!" when the baddies got dealt with.

He would be Sir Tom if he was British, great actor and apparently great man.

He played a 'hitman' in "Road to Perdition". That certainly counts as a bad guy....

I watched it yesterday and really enjoyed it. I love Tom Hanks and actually didn't recognise him at first. Heartily recommend it.
