On BBC1's Breakfast show today I saw Craig Parkinson (Dot) from Line of Duty. He said there would be a surprise in episode 6 regarding 'our little trio' Ted, Steve and Kate. I wonder if that is why Kate ran.

I don’t understand why Kate ran after shooting Pilkington as she had a legal reason to do so with a legally issued firearm.
