Is anyone going to switch to this channel?

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 24-May-21 18:29:36

I like Andrew Neil .
He knows his stuff and will grill all politicians, regardless of their Party, as he did on his own evening Programme before the BBC ‘let him go’.

varian Mon 24-May-21 18:18:30

Andrew Neil appears to have never recovered from the low opinion of his politics tutor at Glasgow University. Neil was the leader of the Conservative club at the university and his tutor Dr Vince Cable (who later went on to lead the Liberal Democrats) was at that time a Labour Councillor in Glasgow.

Perhaps he thinks he might have got a better degree if he had been tutored by a Tory, but they were few and far between in Glasgow at that time. His opinions and actions still often come across as those of a childish student bearing a grudge.

Be interesting to see how it goes!

Mamardoit Mon 24-May-21 18:07:35

Yes I will give it a go. I'm not sure how anyone can make a judgment without watching it.

Lin52 Mon 24-May-21 17:53:06

I won’t prejudge and will give it a listen. Like Andrew Neil and sincerely fed up with BBC and Sky, in fact haven’t bothered with either for last 6 months. Just listen to local news.

Having seen that done on two occasions, I think I'd rather give it a try first before deciding!

Certainly happy to give it a try - so fed up with the BBC at the moment.

Obviously there were some BBC staff who did not agree with Andrew Neil but he was the most influential political commentator on the BBC at that time.

MerylStreep Sun 23-May-21 19:21:52

If it was the Brexit Broardcasting Corporation why did the doyen of the BBC, David Dimbleby look as if he’d chewed a hedgehog on the morning of the result.
If what you say is true he should have been cock a hoop.

varian Sun 23-May-21 19:14:47

The ultra right wing Andrew Neil was one of those primarly responsible for turning the British Broadcasting Corporation into the Brexit Broadcasting Corporation and we can now all see what a disaster brexit is - so no thank you.

Jane43 Sun 23-May-21 18:37:55

I like some of the broadcasters but I read it will be modelled on Fox News, so it’s a no from me.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 23-May-21 12:21:42

I will have a look, I do like Andrew Neil, Alistair Stewart and Kirsty Gallagher.

Polarbear2 Sun 23-May-21 12:06:58

Personal choice.

Why, Polatbear?

Aveline Sun 23-May-21 10:48:06

We're certainly going to give them a try. I like Andrew Neil. He doesn't take any nonsense from anyone regardless of political persuasion. Am really unhappy with the BBC just now.

Grannycool52 Sun 23-May-21 10:22:52

Galaxy, I quite agree ☺️.

Galaxy Sun 23-May-21 10:12:14

Well they have been more use to me than the monarchy however I may think of them from time to time.

eazybee Sun 23-May-21 10:11:13

I shall most certainly listen to it, as I am tired with the arrogance of the BBC, who are now equating themselves as an institution comparable with the Monarchy.

Greyduster Sun 23-May-21 09:34:41

The only presenters I’ve heard of are Alistair Stewart and Neil Oliver.

Greyduster Sun 23-May-21 09:31:17

DH is champing at the bit!

love0c Sun 23-May-21 09:06:19

Most definitely. Absolutely sick to death of the biased BBC.

kittylester Sun 23-May-21 07:54:10

Think it's free - at least currently!

Kim19 Sun 23-May-21 07:51:37

Yes. Most certainly if I can find it and depending on subscription.

kittylester Sun 23-May-21 07:41:50

Yes and Simon McCoy, Kirsty Gallagher and lots of other people I haven't heard of.
