Anyone else watch this? We’ve just done so on catch-up from last night, channel 4, absolutely delightful.

Great documentary and a change to have a good Scottish programme.
The folks on it were delightful and a great community feeling. They were pretty laid back on their windfalls. The lady who won £200K and didn't spend any as she was happy with the life her family had - good on her!

I didn’t see this programme but it reminded me of the funny Irish film ‘Waking Ned’.......where a tiny village in Ireland win the lottery and the shenanigans that ensue.

The lady who won £200k and didn’t spend any

But she did, towards the end she bought a new car, a BMW or Audi, (no good on car makes) and why not?

Was pleased the hardware shop seemed to be doing a roaring trade.

I loved the elderly man who really just wanted/needed a new wheelbarrow!

Lovely programme and people.
The one that made me laugh was the young chap and some of the things he was buying, dishwasher, air fryer and table top freezer. No flash cars etc lol.

... a change to have a good Scottish programme.

I know I'll get flack for lowering the tone but I can't help myself. What does this mean? confused

I loved this too, especially the old boy needing a wheelbarrow.
I was pleased that he also enjoyed his all-singing-all-dancing chair

I thought this programme was charming - the people were lovely and the scenery was stunning. Thoroughly enjoyable.
