Ok, am I the only one who hates tennis?

Don’t like the grunters. Grates on my nerves. I don’t actually hate sports in general so tend to read or use my iPad as I have zero interest.

I used to swap shifts with the Wimbledon fans and looked forward to not getting up early for work during the tennis.

Had to change my words there as not even sure how long it goes on for.

I enjoyed watching the jubilation of the crowd during the last football game. Lovely to see some happy smiling faces. They also showed a clip of the commentators rejoicing. Probably not professional enough for some but even the German guest seemed to join in. I had to stop my OH turning over as soon as the game ended!

I'm right there with you GillT57. Bores me rigid. The only time I enjoyed it was at school when we were made to watch it on a wheeled in TV. I used to get all my homework done. Happy days

Tennis fans are much better behaved than football fans (all right, I know it’s only a minority of football fans). I’ve never heard of tennis hooligans.

DH is a cricket fan, and when it is on, he comments on it as if I understand what he is talking about grin. I don't.

Oh, and Dkovic, I know him! Can’t spell his name though.

I find all sports boring, but tennis is better than football, at least more aesthetically pleasing.

They’ve got a roof now, so I think Cliff Richard will be thwarted.

I used to really enjoy the tennis, but have lost interest over the years. I don’t follow it, and apart from Murray, Federer, Nadal, and Serena in the ladies, don’t recognise any of the top players with their unrecognisable names.

You're never the only one GillT. I don't actively hate it but I don't go out of my way to watch it either. Now cricket - I can't see the point of that at all.

Wimbledon bores me rigid. The gasping and grunting with every shot really grinds my gears. I have never really been into spectator sports but sitting there for hours at Wimbledon watching a ball go back and forth, back and forth, and then if it rains there is a risk that Cliff Richard will get to his feet and sing shock No thanks. It is the sheer tedium of it
