Oldbat1 I think A Place to Call Home is the best series I've ever seen! Perfect in every way, the characters, the plot, the sets and costumes were outstanding. It won a lot of awards. There were several series so it's difficult to see them all in the right order, but I think it's all available on You Tube.

We’ve watch all the episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them. Nothing nasty. Told my daughter about it and she and gd are now watching. We also enjoyed the Australian series A Place to call Home.

It is the perfect anecdote to winter weather, virus anxiety and lockdown. Beautiful beaches and scenery, happy people (small dramas but nothing awful) and a sense of belonging to a community where everyone looks out for everyone. No murders, no swearing, no gangs.
I think any drama set by the sea, especially featuring surfing, has a calming and therapeutic effect on the viewers. Just watching the waves and imagining the splash of the water makes you feel better. This series is therapy.

I remember watching this a while ago. Thoroughly enjoyable in its 'gentleness'. Think there were two series. I've looked out for more with no success thus far.

It’s very easy watching and I have enjoyed it. I won’t give anything away.
