Very samey and predictable. Nothing exciting about it. Corny and Charlie Brooks over-acts like mad. She is a one-dimensional actor. She can only play herself like in a soap.

I am watching it because there is not much else to watch. Huge house and no staff apart from the nanny and gardener who must have a job to maintain all those grounds.
If they did have staff they wouldn’t be able to have hanky lanky in the daytime.

I honestly thought Anna might end up with good old Ray, as a sort of father figure.

This was before he spoke about his (male) partner of 30 years.

I agree, the first episode was so predictable and weak, but….it does improve. As someone else says, the countryside and the 2 houses are fabulous escapism, but without spoiling anything for those who haven’t progressed it, it’s one of those (for me) that irritates me to watch, but I want to see how it ends (tonight). Hopefully there will be done comeuppance…

The ending will be far-fetched and a let down, I’m sure, but still quite looking forward to it.

I'm loving it. I agree it began badly and I was all set to abandon it after episode 1 but it has definitely picked up and I can't wait for the final one tonight.

The wife's job was a set up. Staff give her funny looks because they know she has no real work to do. That's why she swans off when she feels like it.

I am about to watch the 3rd episode this afternoon and looking forward to it. It's lucky I live alone, cos he's a dirty dog and it has shouting at the telly like a mad woman. Sad I know

This series sounds so awful I'm going to have to watch it!!!

Have watched 2 episodes now and I agree there are very many holes in the plot and some of the dialogue is awful but I am rather enjoying it.

Haven't worked out yet if the "deceased" mentioned in the opening is the husband or wife - I suspect it will be the husband but you just never know......
