I ve look on Tv /films forum and surprisingly can’t find anything about the new Baptiste series started last night
Did anyone watch it ? I love this series so was eagerly looking forward to it and after a hectic day on the beach and in the sea sat down in the evening and woke up at 10 pm ???
Thankfully ‘catch up’ has helped me out at 7 am this morning

Did you enjoy it ? I think it’s going to be really good once I get my head around the past/ present flashbacks I do love our Julien

I have sort of been enjoying this on record so I can go back over parts I dont understand but strangely the day before I saw it I was listening to my neighbour as she told me about the day her son died and how she could not stop howling really howling like a wounded dog. Fiona Shaw's performance for me was excellent in that regard and probably how I would be if such a terrible thing happened to me.

Watched the last one last night. Quite poor imho. Massive plot holes. (Was going to give examples but would be spoilers for others). Not impressed unfortunately. I wish we could have some better dramas on. It’s rubbish at the moment.

I enjoyed it at first, but I found Sunday’s episode hard work, with too much dotting about. So much so that I nodded off and now I’ll have to sit through it all again…

This is very good. I've now watched 4 episodes and think that's about long enough. Two more episodes can only be dragged out. I'll stick with it though.
Fiona Shaw is wonderful.

Yes I m glad the wheelchair bit came to light elianne
It’s hard work though I like subtitled film so it’s not that just the storyline is difficult and the to and fro ing

Calendargirl Mon 02-Aug-21 09:08:39

I’m watching this on catch up as I am watching Professor T on ITV, but not really enjoying that.

I find Baptiste a bit hard to follow, but will stick with it, not keen on all the to-ing and fro-ing between time.

Last night was hard work. Going back and forth in time and having to read subtitles for half the programme.
At least we know why she is in a wheelchair now BlueBelle. I was wondering that.

BlueBelle

Any comments on last nights ?
I still find it hard going backwards and forwards and I don’t think it’s his best but I m staying with it and enjoying it for the most part

Exactly how I felt BlueBelle I really needed to concentrate on what was happening.

I didn’t enjoy last nights as much as the first episode it was pinging backwards and forwards so much I was getting dizzy and I still don’t know why she’s in a wheelchair, have I missed it or havent we been told yet and how on earth did they get the baddy (can’t remember his name) in the back of her car in a cage seemed very over cooked I dont think she’s that good in this drama but I still like Baptiste though and will carry on fingers crossed perhaps I should watch it all again

Ah well it takes all sorts.
I thought he was before I saw him singing and now......
Have to thank helen2020 for telling me about him singing.

Greeneyedgirl Mon 26-Jul-21 14:28:18

I loved the guitar!

Greeneyedgirl Mon 26-Jul-21 14:21:14

I know he’s acting - just don’t think he’s sexy……sorry predictive changed his name.

Ellianne Mon 26-Jul-21 13:35:34

What's the significance of the narcotics meeting he attended and the girl he spoke to afterwards because she looked like his daughter? Is there going to be a connection?

Jaxjacky Mon 26-Jul-21 10:18:32

Thanks trisher that’s improved my day no end!

trisher Mon 26-Jul-21 09:53:01

At the moment he looks like someone living on the streets
It's called acting Greeneyedgirl. It's how he's supposed to look. Check out the link further up for the real Tcheky

Greeneyedgirl Mon 26-Jul-21 09:16:33

Despite thinking Fiona Shaw is very good Imthink she is overplaying this part and I’m finding the whole thing a little bit ludicrous.
I will however continue to see it through to the bitter end to see what happens. Sexy? Baptistery? At the moment he looks like someone living on the streets ?

Pittcity Mon 26-Jul-21 09:12:50

I have watched it all and it was well worth it!!

sodapop Mon 26-Jul-21 08:36:44

I enjoyed the second episode much more as I had a handle on the characters and I was more prepared for the flashbacks.
