I am watching Adventures in the hopfields with little Mandy Miller playing the leading role. How innocent it all was in those days, the pc brigade would have field day, little girl off on her own, going with a strange man, hiding in an old mill and hooking up with a family of complete strangers. The parents waiting till the next day to collect her, no police involved.But I am loving it. I recorded it as not on catch up. Anyone else seen it..

don;t know that one, but she was an accomplished actor.
i remember her as a deaf girl, in a film with jack hawkins.

Was that the film about Helen Keller? I remember watching it as a child and it had a lasting impression on me.

Just googled it and it isn’t the same film….
The Miracle Worker is the Helen Keller one.

I think the one with Mandy Miller as a deaf child was just called
"Mandy"
