The pro dance was fabulous, I think you’re right, I think it was an Argentine Tango, but I’m sure someone will correct us if we’re wrong.

The sexiest thing I've witnessed on TV is the Argentine tango with Artem and Natalie 2013.absolutely sizzled. After that I stopped watching........quit while you're ahead.....

I hope they are not going to continue in the same vein as sat's show. I was so bored after the 5th contestant was introduced that I chenged channels and watched a film instead. To much yakking!!!!

To be frank, very few of them merit that much time.

I found Saturday night boring mainly about the professionals who were not jabbed and the contestants refused to dance with them

I used to love watching it, but nowadays it's just too shouty, noisy and sycophantic and too many contestants that are virtually unknown.
Having said that, I would like Robert Webb or Dan Walker to do well but will probably not be watching them!

I am going to be rooting for Rose too - you can see she's got a good sense of humour and I bet she gives it her all! Out of the men I think Rob Webb will be hard to beat - but of course the professionals are all great and the better they are then the better the celebs will be!
I can't wait either!

I don’t think Bill Bailey was the sympathy comic entrant last year - he thoroughly deserved to win- he has a wonderful sense of humour - nor do I think the result was rigged. He has huge concentration and focus - huge ability to work hard and practice and is a huge musical talent. His timing is perfect -

I recognised a few , but not the comedian women , not the rugby player , and definitely not the ' influencers '

Love it and I hope Rose does really well. It brightens up the horrible dark nights and Giovanni smouldering down the camera, well that just makes my Saturday night.

Why are they employing unvaccinated dancers? . It’s wrong having a partner not having it when you’ve followed the rules. Hope Dan does it but don’t think I will watch now.

I absolutely loved watching Bill Bailey and Oti last year. His passion and enthusiasm to learn not only how to do the dances but about the dances was totally inspirational. Oti is a phenomenal choreographer who knows exactly how to get the very best out of her partners.
But I do strongly feel that any of the dancers, both professional and celebrity who won't be jabbed should not be allowed to take part. How can you agree to be so physically close to someone for hours on end and not take every possible precaution to keep both yourself and your partner as safe as possible.

Absolutely. Afraid I don't have much sympathy with those who put others and possibly their vulnerable relatives at risk of potential fatal disease.
However, curtains up, spotlights on and let's all enjoy the show.

I started watching Strictly around 2014. On the whole I enjoy it very much and it brightens a dull Saturday (weather and lack of light). But I do think it’s way too long and with so much padding. And if I hear Tess saying copples more time …..

Strictly is certainly not what it was when it first hit our screens. But I love the dancing so I'll be following it and also recording it - - just so I can watch the routines. Bliss.

…and don’t forget the brilliant live band, I think there is nothing else on TV to compare, they cover well known hits to perfection.

At the launch show on Saturday, I couldn’t believe how many of the professional dancers and the celebrities, when paired up with their partners, said “I was hoping I’d get you!” Really?!!

So how big is the pool of professionals they can draw from? They must have "understudies" at the ready on case of injury etc. Best for the celeb to switch to a reliable (vaccinated) partner now at the beginning, though why wasn't this thought about sooner?

I was rather hoping that Oti wouldn`t be partnered with a celeb this year, but I see that she`s there again.
I love Strictly, but was really hoping that there wouldn`t be another same sex pairing this year.

I’m really looking forward to seeing Johannes and John dance - is anyone else? John looks as if he will be good from this early point in the series.
