Quiet, enigmatic Charlie, drumming away amongst the madness that was The Rolling Stones. I saw them on stage in 1964 and 57 years later I am still listening to their early music. RIP Charlie. Thanks for the music.

Stones for me I saw them in 1963/4 in a local hotel
Charlie was my favourite I always seemed to like the drummers
You were either a Beatles or a Stones fan, very rare to be both in the 60 s I wasn’t into the Beatles they were too clean cut the Stones were definitely the ones for me

I was never a big Stones fan but I admire all of them for staying alive, staying together and performing for so long. I guess it couldn't go on forever. They really are legends. I'm sure the others must be feeling quite lost without Charlie keeping the beat.

Very sad, the end of an era for me when The Stones start to die. They somehow seemed invincible. Apart from Brian Jones of course.
