We saw this film a few weeks ago. Brilliant film.
Cinemas virtually empty in the day, so feel perfectly safe going.

This is an excellent film and depicts clearly what life was like in 1962-3 at the height of the Cold War. Grenville Wynn was very lucky to be exchanged for a Russian major. His Russian counterpart was totally let down by the Uk and the USA .
In 1966 I went to Russia aged 16 , on a school trip, a fascinating experience but we were followed all of the time.

I'm grateful for those who have shown more bravery than I ever have.

Saw this at the cinema last week and thought it was the best film I've seen in a long time. I'm not a great fan of Benedict Cumberbatch normally but, my goodness, he was brilliant in that role.

Yes, I thought this was a brilliant film, with fantastic acting from Benedictine Cumberbatch. Very moving and as the OD said, makes you reflect on the morals at play in governments. I’m surprised it’s not being more widely publicised.

My DD saw this film recently and said it was the best film they had seen in ages.

Watching this film just high lighted to me how the establishment used people, prayed on their feelings and then left them in the lurch when they needed them most. It is based on a true story and i thought it was brilliant. A bit like the senario in Afghanistan today. So many people helped the British while we were over there, now these poor souls left behind will face possible torture and excecution by the Taliban.
