Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Sally always likes things to be about her. She thinks she is Queen of the street and if life was fair, would be living in somewhere like Knutsford. She's more annoyed that others knew before she did because of how it makes her look. She needs to put her misplaced anger on the back burner, stop moaning and support Tim through a major operation but I doubt it. Perhaps Elaine will arrive to help look after him. Sally would be pleased.

Calendargirl Sun 23-Jan-22 13:56:06

Sorry to digress. It was Sally’s fault

What was?

Tim’s triple heart bypass? The initials on the crutch? Joseph running away? The upskirting at school? The fact the quads are prisoners upstairs in a little house?

I could go on…..

Maggiemaybe Sun 23-Jan-22 13:36:16

I don’t think I could get one leg into mine now. I might challenge myself later. grin

Thing is, I was never smaller than a 10. And I can get into a 10 now, when I’m 3 stone heavier.

Sorry to digress. It was Sally’s fault.

Aveline Sun 23-Jan-22 12:38:35

I've still got the pants I 'sat' my A levels in! Needless to say I don't actually wear them any more.

Kate1949 Sun 23-Jan-22 11:27:43

I've got a tiny pair in my drawer from the 1970s too Maggiemaybe. An incentive to lose weight. It hasn't worked so far!

Calendargirl Sun 23-Jan-22 11:20:17

The whole storyline is too daft for words. Not telling his wife, but dear old Nurse Aggie is available to sit in on appointments with the consultant, Adam can rustle up a will at a moment’s notice, ditto the funeral is arranged.

So all these people know about it, plus discussing it at length with Peter in the Rovers.

And all the time Tim sits there looking bemused and dazed at having to deliver lines that are such a load of tosh!

And don’t get me started on fingerprints on the crutch….!

Maggiemaybe Sun 23-Jan-22 11:19:57

As for the knickers, I have a teensy tiny pair in my knicker drawer older than half the cast, just as a reminder of days gone by. They haven’t been worn since the 70s though. grin

Maggiemaybe Sun 23-Jan-22 11:16:15

I didn’t think it rang true at all. She’d have been annoyed, yes, but she wouldn’t have had a go like that as he was about to have major surgery.

But hey, what does ring true in Corrie these days? And would it be as entertaining if it did? smile

BlueBelle Sun 23-Jan-22 11:12:06

I understand where Tim’s coming from but I d be mortally upset if the whole of my neighbourhood knew about a major life changing condition in MY husbands life and I didn’t, so I think she’s right to be miffed
Nothing to do with embarrassment in my opinion

LilacChaser Sun 23-Jan-22 11:09:43

Well, yes, she was over the top - another storyline over-dramatised, but I just found the comment funny. Prompted me to have a think about the age of my knickers!

Aveline Sun 23-Jan-22 11:02:10

I was cross at Sally. She'll regret being so nasty to poor Tim just when he's facing such a big op. She was embarrassed? Big deal!

LilacChaser Sun 23-Jan-22 10:58:03

Did anyone else laugh at Sally's comment the other night when (referring to a young nurse or doctor) she said 'I've got knickers older than she is'.

Classic!

Do they not do Coronation Street repeats anymore on Freeview?
I’ve been nodding off lately ?

Kate1949 Thu 20-Jan-22 10:09:55

The picture I posted above of the twins was posted by their dad on Twitter.

Grannynannywanny Thu 20-Jan-22 09:10:45

There’s conflicting info online. They are certainly 3 siblings, Hope and Joseph in Corrie and April in Emmerdale. Some reports say Hope and Joseph are twins and others say Joseph’s twin is April in Emmerdale. It would make more sense for Joseph and April to be real life twins. They are very alike and look a similar size.

If Grandma Flanagan is reading Gransnet please post and set us straight ?

Kandinsky Thu 20-Jan-22 08:59:13

They can’t be twins?
The girl looks at least 3 years older than the boy?
Anyway, I can see a very watered down ‘Shannon Matthews’ story come out of this.
The family will be accused of setting it all up for the reward money.

vegansrock Thu 20-Jan-22 08:35:13

How did Tim expect to keep a triple heart bypass secret from Sally? Daft.

Sarnia Thu 20-Jan-22 08:15:29

lemsip

just googled. are hope and joseph related in real life...this is the response....

Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) and Joseph Brown (William Flanagan) are cousins in Coronation Street and in real life, the stars are also closely related. And that’s not all! Isabella and William are also related to an Emmerdale actress.

in 'The sun and The Metro and others

Isabella and William are twins in real life. Don't look at bit alike but twins, nevertheless.

lemsip Thu 20-Jan-22 08:06:59

they are related to amelia flanagan who plays April in emmerdale

I think that what Rosina meant was that if the crutch had come from a charity shop, which we know it didn’t, then it would have numerous fingerprints on it.

Also I imagine the police have plenty of real stuff to analyse, without doing extras to win a bet.

Oh, I know we don’t need to watch it, but the daft storylines…. the accident and crutch, Tim and his secret heart condition, the never ending traumas at Speed Dahl, Chesney proposing to bike to another job in the middle of the night…..

Grannynannywanny Wed 19-Jan-22 23:06:30

I don’t think the crutch was ever in a charity shop Rosina. It was left in the car boot after they knocked down the elderly man and helped him home. I’ve forgotten his name now, was it Ted? His initials are on the crutch and presumably his finger prints.

Rosina Wed 19-Jan-22 22:57:21

I can't see the point of the story about the crutch that is now going to be checked for fingerprints. The only prints that will be matched up on it belong to Faye, and as she is living in the same flat as Craig that won't be suspicious, and as it has allegedly been in a charity shop there could be dozens of prints. Where is this one going?

Kim19 Wed 19-Jan-22 22:33:38

I thought they were brother and sister and the boy's twin is in emmerdale.
