Freda and the implants for Aled. Now she has kidnapped the little chap to stop the operation. She comes over as the most impossibly selfish woman and I have no sympathy for her. One storyline that has disappointed.

Bradley Walsh has had a bit of stick on here lately, with The Larkins and everything else he is in, but I rather liked him a few years back in Corrie when he took over the factory, he was a Baldwin (son/nephew?) of Mike. Think he had a fling with Leanne, she was pregnant in real life and walked around with a clip board or huge bag in front of her tummy the whole time. Was it Frankie that he was married to?

I think Corrie is rubbish at the minute. Such incredible story lines.

I really think Jack is such a poor actor couldn’t they find any better child actors little Luke knocks spots off him and the new Max is real, but poor Jack is limp and wooden.

Have they so few men in the area that Jenny has to fall over every new man that walks in the pub it’s getting boring this one is hardly worth looking at is he?

Abi will head back into prison soon we don’t hear about Tim’s daughter any more with that very unreal story of her going to prison
It really is getting to be a bit of a joke like casualty and holby the writing is dreadfully poor now and such weak plots

No one is as bad as James Bailey. His hand gestures just don’t go with his speech ?.

Does anyone remember another awful actor a few years back now. Also an up and coming footballer I think. I want to say he was Mike Baldwin’s grandson. Danny maybe? Frankie had an affair with his brother. They were her step sons.....I think. Anyway, he did the most awful Cockney accent I’ve ever heard since Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins ?. Needless to say, he did ‘ disappear’.

I think a few of them need to disappear now to be honest.

Does anyone who watches both Corrie and Emmerdale notice that they frequently have very similar storylines. For example in Emmerdale this week they’ve started an ageism story with Diane and her daughter similar to Audrey in Corrie.

I have to agree with previous posters about the storyline recently. There is a major week of death and destruction coming up later in the month so perhaps the writers have taken their eye of the ball in the weeks running up to it. As far as the child actors go, Max and Hope leave the others standing.

Yet another story line and more new characters tonight - Zeedan (the wooden man) and his ex father in law wanting him to launder money - yawn! Then there's Kevin mooching around the rougher areas of Weatherfield looking for Abbi and finding her ex. Again, yawn. And who is that in the pub? Looks and sounds very much like Mary's son but isn't. More yawns. Is it just me?

Aveline Thu 07-Oct-21 19:44:34

Ooh yes please!

Sara1954 Thu 07-Oct-21 19:33:34

Namsnanny
I am liking this storyline, perhaps you could write us an episode every week.

Namsnanny Thu 07-Oct-21 14:53:11

Grannynannywanny it's good to have a giggle now and againgrin

Namsnanny Thu 07-Oct-21 14:52:04

Yes it would sodapop.
I do wish they hadn't written her out.

sodapop Thu 07-Oct-21 13:30:53

It would be nice for Roy to have another love interest but don't think anyone would match up to Hayley for him.

Grannynannywanny Thu 07-Oct-21 12:51:25

Namsnanny ?? ?

I think we could write some good episodes here on GN eg

'Audrey hasnt got poor eyesight, she's suffering from guilt because she had a one night stand with Imran in Mary's camper. Now she's drinking too much to help her cope'

'Evelyn gets acquainted with Steve when they meet on the Red rec. Dog walking, (he does still have a dog?)
Both are pulled together out of loneliness, and the love of dogs. So a thing developed between them.
(Remember, Steve has no boundaries, and can find attraction anywhere).

'Dev and the Vicar find their kids have problems coping and want to help, but find comfort in each others arms instead.'

Any more...

I’ve been thinking about how Audrey’s family have been putting pressure on her to stop driving and bringing up her age etc.

I think she might blurt out “I’m not as old as you think, if you don’t believe me ask Imran!

The are so many worthy messages popping up in the Street at the moment - racism, air pollution, parking, plagiarism, surprised they have time for any hanky panky.

If it were Mary, Imran would still be there, locked in the van!

Can you remember when she held Norris a prisoner, in a caravan or similar, shades of ‘Misery’. ?

Made me laugh Calendargirl
I remember the 'Misery' episode. Those two were so good together.

Doodledog Wed 06-Oct-21 20:58:14

Ah, thank you. He was probably too drunk to remember, and will assume the worst, in a standard soap script fallback, then?

Aveline Wed 06-Oct-21 18:27:54

We didn't see him in bed with anyone. Only have Sabeen's word for it -and his extremely guilty demeanor.

Doodledog Wed 06-Oct-21 18:01:06

I usually watch Corrie whilst doing other things, and I seem to have been looking at my knitting or stirring the dinner when we saw Imran in bed with Person X. I know that he went to his ex's place and came home the next day, but when did the other dalliance take place?

Can anyone be bothered to fill me in, please? (I drive Mr Dog mad by asking for a reprise of something I've watched - sorry ?)

Ooh Mary and Imran! What a thought. No wonder he looks so stressed

Grannynannywanny Wed 06-Oct-21 17:37:39

Does Mary still have the big camper van? I haven’t heard it mentioned for ages.

Ooh I wonder if that’s where Imran visited ?

sodapop Wed 06-Oct-21 17:08:20

I think there are going to be all sorts of soap dramas this month so maybe Evelyn will have a love drama of her own. smile
I would like to see Mary have a bit of a fling now that Norris is gone.
