There was an explanation, Lucky. I don't want to say exactly what in case others haven't watched all the episodes yet.

I’ve really enjoyed watching this and thought at last, a proper police drama. But oh, that ending? Anyone know who pushed who? No explanation for the nails and scratches. Why was she advised to lie? Is it just left open for a further series? Anyone?

I've watched all of it and think it was excellent. Good to be able to watch all 3 episodes over a couple of days and not have to wait weeks in between.

No spoilers but I wonder if there might be another series?

We watched parts 2 & 3 in one sitting last night, having recorded them from ITV Hub.
No spoilers here though!
We enjoyed the whole thing and can settle to watch Shetland tonight!

I think this is good with a fairly original plot. I never like jumping backwards and forwards in time though. And did they have to show those bloodied bodies so many times and in such gory detail?

I feel Jimmy Akingbola may be a fan of Idris Elba. He is using the same body language and style of acting, he comes across as very similar.

Very good! a lot of the dramas on tv are dire at the moment imo, with the exception of this and Show Trial, but I've finished watching the latter now.

Looking forward to seeing the various strands pulled together, shame it's fairly brief.

We also needed the subtitles for the Irish actor, bit of a mumbler!

I agree, the actress who plays Lizzie is beautiful.

BlueBelle I also have poor vision and nothing irritates me more than seeing a message on a phone and I cannot read it.

I use the subtitles on all dramas to combat any dialect or mumbling sound issues I have it down to a fine art now and see the drama whilst reading the subs without missing anything much
The one things about subs that annoys me is when there is a phone message or a written card / piece of paper couldn’t they write that too, as my sight is poor and I can’t read them, so I either have to jump up to get closer or just guess anyone else have this problem ?

I also am enjoying it but the diction of the detective sergeant whose name I do not know, is very poor and at times she speaks very quickly. I also will watch Shetland and then do a +1 for The Tower because I need the subtitles.

Showing them consecutively is good for me also because I have forgotten already who is who in Shetland. Good to find something watchable for a change. I am pleased I did not miss The Tower.

Was just thinking I will start a thread about this! Yes, it’s rather different isn’t it? And will all get tied up tonight.

The Irish police governor, the one having the affair, often seems to play dodgy roles.

And yes, Lizzie is very attractive.

Yes I m watching Shetland too but will watch the Tower so I ve got the continuity then watch Shetland on my iPad so I can really concentrate there’s so many names in it it keeps me on my toes
Isn’t the young PC a pretty girl, beautiful eyes

Welshwife Tue 09-Nov-21 22:31:53

Yes - we like them on consecutive nights too - but tomorrow it clashes with Shetland so we will watch that and then the Tower so we can skip through the adverts!
Really need to concentrate on the plot!

Anyone else watching this ? I m enjoying it I must say I like them back to back so I don’t forget the plot and the characters
