I think the format of QT just doesnt work anymore, it cant give any of the questions the time they need. Lots of people are listening to long form podcasts on political issues so are used to more exploration of an issue. Also if you arent on top of your brief or unable to respond to challenge there is no place to hide in the longer formats.

I gave up watching QT some time ago. It doesn’t seem to have the impact it used to have

Did anyone see Maggie Throup on Question Time last night.
She was completely out of her depth, didn’t answer one question directly and was a complete embarrassment. The rest of the panel and the audience wiped the floor with her. Even Fiona Bruce was frustrated by her waffling.
