‘Feel Good’ Films: Please Help!?

Please, please NOT Groundhog day! DH loves it, but I have what I know is an unreasonable dislike of both the male and female lead as well as the whole idea of having to repeat the same day until you get it right. Reminds me of writing out exercises five times as punishments at school!

The original version of All Creatures great and small by all means, If we can't make up our minds about Netflix etc we have all the Harry Potter films on DVD.

It's a Wonderful Life

My favourite feel good film is the french film Untouchable, based on a true story. It’s funny too. Only downside is it’s subtitled but if you don’t mind that it’s really worth watching.
My second choice would be Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant, also a true story. The chap who plays the pianist is particularly wonderful.

I LOVE Last Christmas , a beautiful feel good film, with George Michael's lovely songs ???

is lovely, cheesy, and feel good.
Emma Thompson is superb in it, and it has a great soundtrack.

If you can get past the fact that they're both set in USA high schools (this put me off both for years) both Clueless and 10 Things I hate about you are 2 of the funniest films I've ever seen. Oh yes - and A Fish Called Wanda!

Nativity and Nativity 2, The Holiday (romance as well as funny), Some Like It Hot, the great Marilyn Monroe and classic ending, Kung Fu Panda, Guernsey Literary and peeled potato Society, Local Hero, Gregory's Girl, Whisky Galore, Dad's Army there are loads out there that he might like.

White Christmas cant be beaten! Scrooge with Alistar Sims.

A nice feel good movie is Michael. Starring John Travolta and Andi McDowall. Give it a try. It's about an angel, though not especially Christmassy, it's funny and touching in an off beat kind of way.

‘Daddy my daddy”. My daddy was in the Christie our Manchester centre of excellence for cancer, I was almost 9, sisters younger. We wept every Sunday at the bbc Series, raikway children or little women. We sobbed at ‘daddy my daddy’ - we didn’t know how serious it was. We only knew how we missed him

How is Blinded. Y the Lightvracist JaneJudge? I loved it.

I endorse Great Expectations which I also watched this afternoon while pretending to wrap presents.
Scrooge with Alistair Sim is also brilliant.

We watched a film called Last Christmas with Emilia Clarke and really enjoyed it
