I agree Aldom, throughly enjoyed Downtown this evening, great escapism ! Think many of us need that just now.

Mapleleaf what you say is true. It's a very relaxing couple of hours viewing. Just what I needed tonight.

I watched it at the cinema when it first came out. Enjoyed it for what it was, loved the costumes & scenery, etc, but it was very far fetched and has to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. Having said that, the comedic side of it is brilliant, there are some great lines.

The new Downton film is in the cinemas March 18th. I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's Downton film not having seen it before.

I agree the advertising was misleading.
But lovely to see them all again.

Thank you, I'll look forward to the new film and will have to wait until it's televised.

I went to the cinema in the autumn and found it so hot wearing my mask and fell asleep, missed most of the film.

Yes, but it’s the network premiere. The new film isn’t out yet.

The new film will be in cinemas later in January, so probably not on TV for a while yet.

I thought they'd made another film. Never mind, Netflix to the rescue!

MayBeMaw Sat 01-Jan-22 21:12:21

What were you expecting?
Surely not yet another rerun?

Shandy57 Sat 01-Jan-22 21:03:52

I rushed to get everything done so I could watch this tonight. So disappointed it's a rerun of the 2019 film!
