One member of office staff for every machinist.

Who actually machines there?

Beth, Sean, Sally. Trying to think of anyone else.

Does Izzie still ‘work from home’ with the traffic warden neighbour. Haven’t seen him lately.

Hope Alina and baby Ty soon return and burst Fiz and Tyrone’s lovey dovey bubble.

vegansrock Tue 26-Jul-22 06:15:05

How does that factory make any money? It has so many office staff.

pinkprincess Tue 26-Jul-22 01:52:25

Of course Summer will work in the Street!.Where else?.
It must be lovely to live in Coronation Street. No worries about getting a job, and right on your doorstep as well.
Does that tiny little shed they call a garage really need a new mechanic. My DS worked on his own in a garage twice that size and did not shut it up every day for an hour to stand in the local pub either, he would be sacked in no time.

Doodledog Mon 25-Jul-22 21:13:52

I wondered about the annulment form too - they aren't the sort of thing that people need several of, surely? Unless it was emailed to him and he ran off another copy?

I also think that Stephen is up to no good. He's older than Gail, so I don't hold looking his age against him (I have no room to talk about that grin), but something doesn't add up. If he's the high-powered businessman he claims to be he won't be able to up sticks and hang around in Coronation Street for unspecified periods of time, will he?

I wish Yasmeen and Stu would ride off into the sunset together. I wish the character well, but the actress is so wooden.

I should have known that Summer would get a job in the factory?. Talk about a major employer for the area! There is barely a family who doesn't have at least one member who doesn't work there now or have done in the past.

Re Summer’s ‘P.A.’ job at Underworld.

I said, back on June 10th, that Summer would end up working at the Cafe/ Rovers/ Bistro or Underworld.

Yes!!!

Calendargirl Mon 25-Jul-22 21:03:15

Why was Jack hanging out with little kids like Joseph? How old is he meant to be?

Stephen is creepy, looks quite old and seedy to me.

Yasmeen and Stu, love’s young (or not so young) dream. Not!

And the new lad at the garage, Summer’s boyfriend. Only been there 2 minutes, but throwing out the orders and squaring up Kevin and Ty when they argued. Right cocky little so and so.

i don't like steven! he's hiding something.

Calendargirl Mon 25-Jul-22 20:20:25

I thought Phill ripped up the annulment form?

Or did he have a spare?

Calendargirl Sun 24-Jul-22 19:59:45

Kelly said she needed the toilet, but not sure if she ever actually did a wee!

?

BlueBelle Sun 24-Jul-22 19:39:53

First thing I thought about ???

NotTooOld Sun 24-Jul-22 19:36:04

Charleygirl - I too wondered about the lack of toilet facilities in wherever it was that Kelly was imprisoned. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks of these things!

Doodledog Sat 23-Jul-22 20:30:58

Thanks. Seriously - does anyone know a family who behaves like this towards one another, and who still speak, never mind live together in as close proximity as the Platts?

Calendargirl Sat 23-Jul-22 19:38:01

I’ve had to look it up Doodledog.

Nick stole £80000 from his gran to settle debts and to pay off his ex wife Elsa, can’t remember much about her, he was frightened he was going to lose Leanne. He and David bought the barbers with it, but then David gave the barbers to Audrey (I think).

Calendargirl

But what about the money Lewis (Nigel Havers) got out of her? Or was that Gail’s money? Did he pay her back?

And what about the money Nick took? Or did that get paid back also?

confused

I think she got the money back from Lewis, and she bought the stretchy house with it (as Gail had had to sell up) and gave it to David.

I can't remember what happened with Nick. How did he get money from Audrey? And she accused Sarah of trying to swindle her too, when she changed the will. They are a bunch of crooks, one way and another, aren't they?

Oldnproud Sat 23-Jul-22 18:41:26

Did Audrey even make it back to her house?
Given the state she was in at the restaurant, I wondered if she had already overdosed before arriving there.

If she did it after arriving home, how did she end up in hospital? Who called an ambulance?

Aveline

I thought she was hard up or used to be as Alf left her pretty penniless as he'd not renewed his life insurance.
Watch TV too much? Moi?!

She was, but she inherited some money from George Shuttleworth's dad, Archie.

vegansrock Sat 23-Jul-22 16:59:46

And they’re all running around trying to be nice to her just so they don’t get cut out of her will. Maybe that’s what has tipped her over the edge.

Sassanach512 Sat 23-Jul-22 16:37:14

Honestly! did the dopey beggers really think at 82 Audrey would want to be on her feet cutting hair all day? no wonder she looked underwhelmed sad

Did think what a very selfish old woman Audrey had become, expecting her g.son, with a business to run, and a young family, just to drop everything immediately to pop over to do a job at her house. Perhaps she should use some of her money and employ someone.

Calendargirl Sat 23-Jul-22 13:08:23

I realise Audrey was a priority if she had taken an overdose, but how come she was tucked up in a hospital ward bed so quickly?

In real life, she would either;

a) Still be at home awaiting ambulance.

b) In back of said ambulance, in a huge queue of numerous ambulances waiting to offload their patients at the hospital.

c) Lying on a trolley in a hospital corridor.

d) Or maybe recovering at home, after phoning for help, PC Craig to the rescue after breaking down her front door, accompanied by Nurse Aggie and Doctor Gaddas, who would have saved her life in the nick of time.

?‍♂️?‍⚕️

Jenny McAlpine the actress, was born in 1984 so is 38

don't know how old the character of Fizz is supposed to be.

Think there’s a bit of confusion here about Jenny, landlady of the Rovers, and Fiz, (real name also Jenny).

BlueBelle Sat 23-Jul-22 12:13:34

That Audrey storyline in itself was daft who’d buy a hairdressing business for an 82 year old ???
The Phil/Fizz/Tyrone story line has been daft
and no one would walk into a highly confidential counselling session
Jacks doing his woodentops acting
Gary,of the awful haircut, story is even more ridiculous

When on earth are Yasmeen and ‘whatsit ‘ going to get it together and then they can honeymoon in Greece

Aveline Sat 23-Jul-22 10:48:42

I though Evelyn was hilarious yesterday. The lines about how farcical the situation was,
'And did the vicar walk in and your trousers fall down?'
