New thread required, old one full.

Looks like we are going to have another child in the cast.

Yes and the Corrie prison set has been dusted down for their visits. Sam will have company when he’s visiting his mum’s killer as Eliza will be there visiting her mum and gran.

Could this be another unpaid project for Deedee the hotshot L.A lawyer to conduct in Roy’s cafe. I hope she can fit in Bernie as well. It looks like she’s about to be framed for a jewellery robbery by her mystery friend.

Calendargirl Tue 18-Oct-22 06:57:03

Pleased to see trade has apparently picked up at Speed Dahl.

Looks like we are going to have another child in the cast.

What has happened to this big building project of Ronnie and Ed’s? No sign of Ron, and Ed never looks busy, plus not long ago he was not going to be able to work for months. Seems ok now, no mention of his injuries,

I pity the recipients of the charity clothes swap, or whatever it is. Unwashed, long stored items of clothing just dredged up from the back of wardrobes and cupboards, and tossed into a bin bag.

Lovely!

Another one never seen now is Faye. Can't even remember if she's still with Craigie!

NotTooOld Fri 14-Oct-22 21:11:37

Hm, yes, agree Sally is looking very good. I also wondered if she had had some work done. We are such a suspicious lot!
That's the answer, Doodledog, it's the Orient Express all over again. The AmDrammers are not rehearsing a play, they're getting together to send the messages to Maria. Why? You may well ask but this is Corrie so no real reason is required.

Calendargirl Fri 14-Oct-22 20:44:09

She looked fresh faced before the sex.

Doodledog Fri 14-Oct-22 20:37:47

Or possibly Sam.

Or a group of them, as on the Orient Express?

Doodledog Fri 14-Oct-22 20:35:04

Is it going to turn out to be Shona who's been sending the messages? That could take care of her maternity leave.

BlueBelle Fri 14-Oct-22 20:29:56

Nah she’s just had some rumpy punpy

Calendargirl Fri 14-Oct-22 20:15:57

Is it just me, or does Sally look ‘different’ somehow?

Very fresh faced, has she had a bit of work done?

(No problem if she has, just wondered).

Doodledog Thu 13-Oct-22 23:05:11

A great summary, NTO grin. I wonder what the Christmas storyline will be? Shona's baby arriving on the Red Rec, as there's no room in the Rovers?

NotTooOld Thu 13-Oct-22 22:34:18

I don't know anything about the amdram play either, Rosina. It seemed to spring from nowhere. I thought I must have missed an episode.

This week's offerings have been dire. Totally unbelievable stuff about Stu but Dee-Dee is due to find out about the DNA so Bridget's confession is probably all eye-wash. Yasmeen may well end up adopting Eliza. Tracy cooked stuffed marrow, her mum's signature dish, to not impress Wendy - why? Summer was even more drippy than usual with the three stooges all in attendance but fourth stooge, Arron, making a break for it. The girl is surrounded by carers. The headteacher put in an appearance to tell David and Shona (did you notice she's pregnant?) that Max's place at Wethy High has been taken by a well-spoken refugee who is obviously going to go far, unlike devious Max who has not really become a troll, despite being arrested by a cop who, believe it or not, was not Craigie. Perhaps Craigie has gone off to join the Met or else fallen foul of undercover Spider. And where's Toyah? Has she gone off with Stephen who has apparently going quite mad and is about to commit the crime of the century by killing ancient Audrey? Who will then run the hair salon? Maybe David of the strange hair. Has he really had a hair transplant and will his newly minted waxwork need extra hair adding? Too many bad storylines going on if you ask me. Time Corrie had another tram fall on it or maybe a tsunami down the canal.

pinkprincess Tue 11-Oct-22 19:53:08

Does Billy ever do any vicaring or arch deaconing?.All he seems to do is go about the Street in a fancy clerical shirt with a stupid grin on his face.

Rosina Tue 11-Oct-22 16:33:57

Can someone enlighten me about the play? Is the full cast just the three or four characters that we keep seeing arguing in the Rovers, where is it to be perfomed, and when? I cannot make any sense of it.

Ashcombe Tue 11-Oct-22 08:19:52

I had been a fan for years but never watch it now. However, I’m still enjoying Classic Corrie on ITV3 where the characters are real, the plot lines believable and the scripts are well written.

Where did it all go wrong?!

vegansrock Tue 11-Oct-22 08:18:03

The refugee boy had remarkably good English for someone who has only been in the country a few weeks. Where is he living? The story with Max could be interesting-ish. Although only in contrast to the other dire stories.

Grannynannywanny Tue 11-Oct-22 08:10:56

I agree Calendargirl it was dire. I’m finding the amdram storyline particularly irritating. I hope they find Leo’s body soon and restart that storyline.

Calendargirl Tue 11-Oct-22 06:57:35

Another dire episode of Corrie last night.

The eternal Stu/Bridget/Eliza/Yasmeen tripe. (I now think it’s Bridget).

The ghastly Bailey family. (At least we got to see Glory)

The absolutely rubbishy amdram saga, with Tracy in the leading role.

And not forgetting Summer, Aaron and the Three Stooges.

(Do Billy, Todd and Paul ever go to work, or just wander round in dog collars, dark suits and builders gear?).

Rosina Sun 09-Oct-22 18:22:46

Five, surely - unless Joseph has ben shipped out to live with his grandmother?

NotTooOld Sun 09-Oct-22 18:04:16

I think Billy - who has turned orange - is back with Todd, isn't he? But where does Paul live? Surely not in Chesney's house with Ches, Gemma, Bernie and four invisible children?

Aveline Sat 08-Oct-22 08:09:16

I thought it was just his passport and papers?

HurdyGurdy Fri 07-Oct-22 18:26:33

What was Stephen burning? Was it Leo's clothes? Or his own clothes that he wore at the time he shoved/moved Leo?

If it was Leo's clothes, then eeewwww - did he strip Leo and leave his body naked?

lemsip Fri 07-Oct-22 16:34:34

found this.
In real life, Dame Maureen Lipman – who plays Evelyn – recently announced that she washttps://parktheatre.co.uk/hometaking a break from Coronation Street to star in one-woman stage play Rose.Maureen is excited to be in the timely revival of Martin Sherman's Rose, receiving its onstage premiere at Park Theatre and Hope Mill Theatre.

sodapop Fri 07-Oct-22 16:31:42

Serendipity I think David has had a hair transplant in real life.

The play rehearsals were quite funny for a while but are wearing a bit thin now. I do like Mary though, she makes me laugh. I agree with BlueBelle about the director & Wendy totally ridiculous.

Kandinsky Fri 07-Oct-22 14:29:07

Yes. I like the Stephen / murder storyline. He’s such a pantomime villain isn’t he grin
Also enjoying the Tim / Aggie romance, actually quite believable as this is how many affairs start, very innocently at first.

Charleygirl5 Fri 07-Oct-22 13:28:20

Has Evelyn not got a part in a London theatre? They need continuity with scriptwriters and something we can actually believe. I cannot stand the sight of Mary or the sound of her voice.

Everything is dragged out for weeks until we lose the will to live.

I did read that Stephen is going nowhere anytime soon.

I would give most of them a single ticket to the destination of their choice.

Why do I watch it? I used to be reasonably intelligent.
