Jay Blades doesn't do any restoration on the repair shop, he is just the presenter and it isn't a real shop by the way as some of my friends seem to think it is
He actually used to strip down and rebuild electronics so even I was a bit confused as to why he got an obe (or mbe) for furniture or something but I think he runs a workshop based business in Wolverhampton that 'restores' furniture. I actually like him but I know people who work in skilled restoration get a bit irritated by him too.
I haven't seen the program yet. I am invested in heritage craft and wondered if they would feature any at risk skills, there is a list on the heritage craft association site some of which would blow your mind
Soops place of refuge and friends
House about to go on the market. Any useful tips?
