Anyone seen the film on Netflix The Good Liar with Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen? Very improbable story but I enjoyed it. Helen Mirren looks amazing in it and wears some gorgeous outfits.

It was good despite being far fetched.

Our town Sunday cinema's screenings tend to be gentle or thought-provoking. The audience, I'm pretty sure thought this was going to be like that too. When certification from MPAA Rated R for some strong violence, and for language and brief nudity. When the certification screen came up, everyone laughed out loud and one commented - 'wrong film'.
They were silent as they left the screening - visibly shocked.

I saw this at the cinema, pre Covid. It is really enjoyable, but then I like anything with a twist at the end.
Excellent cast as well.

I enjoyed it, but had thought it was going to be a comedy before I watched it. Was a bit of a shock.

I really liked this film. Yes the story line is very thin, but Ian Mckellen and Helen Mirren are both equally believable and save the film.
I would recommend it.

We guessed some of it, but they are such good actors that the body language was all there.
Improbable and far fetched, yes, but worth watching.

Well far fetched and improbable, it is well acted and watchable. But I'd guessed the "twist" long before the end and got increasingly annoyed as the action was manipulated to enable the plot to progress.

I bought this on video a few years ago, it made good viewing.
