There is a great audio version of this fantastic drama available now on BBC sounds. It brought back so many memories of things which still happen, police corruption, MPs on the take, Labour Party quarrels.
I'm not sure about the last episode which brings the action up to 2022, but the rest of it is great.

I’ve actually never seen it, no idea why. I’ll see if it’s available anywhere…
It was one of my late mom’s favourites, along with GBH.
Which do you think I should watch / listen to first?

I think if I hadn't seen either I'd do the radio version first. The TV series is great but because the actors are so good they leave you with definite ideas about the characters. Radio gives you more chance to imagine.
