Yes a friend told me about it so used to record it to watch later in the day. We became really addicted to it.

Yes, I was going to say that too Beechnut.
There are some hidden gems on the BBC; unlike the dire ITV afternoon output.
I haven’t seen The Indian Doctor, so thanks for the recommendation.
I’m always on the lookout for stuff like that for DH and me.

I loved it and you’re right sodapop about afternoon programmes.

Yes it was another of the enjoyable series often screened in the afternoon. I liked the Indian Doctor, Father Brown and WPC 59. Quite often the afternoon series are preferable to the evening offerings.

I watched it too, at lunchtimes I think. It was lovely and gentle.

I loved it too it, watched it when I was unwell. DH loved it too, because it meant that he didn't have to nag me to rest. wink

Last Friday evening OH and I were browsing through BritBox for something to watch.

We came across The Indian Doctor and it is brilliant. Set in a Welsh mining village during the 1960's it is based on an Indian Doctor replacing the deceased GP.

I'd never heard of it before but apparently it was first broadcast by the BBC from 2010 to 2013 during the daytime, I would have either been at work or sleeping due to shift work.
