It was really interesting. I'm very fond of Dolly. As well as a gifted singer and songwriter, she's a philanthropist and a consummate business woman.

Only watched the first hour as I’d been watching something else, so started it on channel 5+1, then it was bedtime, but will catch up with it.

I really like Dolly, she comes across as a shrewd business woman as well as a great entertainer, and a nice person.

OTT with her facelifts etc, but hey, that’s Dolly!

I saw most of the programme.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Dolly Parton. Such a shrewd business woman, ambitious, focussed, hard-working, as well as philanthropic. She seems such a nice person too, and still with her feet firmly on the ground, despite her long, enormously successful career in show business..

She's one of a kind!

A very interesting programme, I loved it. Dolly is the only person in my mind who should sing I Will Always Love You, she sings the way she wanted it when she wrote it.

I agree!

But she has made millions from other people singing it!

Laughing (and singing) all the way to the bank!

Still doesn`t take away the fact that her version is the best.

I’ve watched 3 episodes so far of this Dolly Parton:Song By Song series and enjoyed them all.

I loved another programme on Sky Arts last night. A documentary movie called Hitsville: The Making of Motown. It featured rare performances, interviews and great behind the scenes footage from the 50’s through to the early 70’s. The singing and dance moves were fabulous. I hope it’ll be on again as I missed the start of it.
