I’ve seen it advertised on Facebook. What amazes me about Jodie, apart from being a brilliant actress that is, is that she has the strongest Liverpool accent anyone could have and yet she slips so easily into these roles doing other accents.

We are going on Thursday. I think the only people who would have seen Prima Facie already went to the National Theatre, although I could be wrong!

Although the National Theatre are screening it, it was originally on in the West End but sold out even before it was awarded brilliant reviews. She is still in her 20s and this is her first stage play, yet she has chosen a one woman, very demanding performance. She is an absolute tour de force. We went last week and the whole cinema was gripped but it is not easy. We went with friends and had a good debate on the way home. Do I recommend? Yes absolutely, but it depends what you want. She must be up for a best actress award and it’s a challenging topic (how the law treats women who are sexually violated) but not exactly a laugh!
I will be interested in Devorgilla’s take, and any one else who sees it.

I went as planned and saw it in an almost empty auditorium. It was excellent. The few there watched in total silence - not even the rattle of a sweet paper. It was a riveting performance which was quite harrowing in parts of the telling of the story. I would thoroughly recommend it. A brilliant and demanding performance by an excellent young actress. As Zaseret says, not always an easy watch.

Saw it last night - agree it's very thought provoking. Such a challenging and energetic role and such excellent acting by Jodie Comer. She is amazing... would definitely recommend it.

Also, it's a good idea to go to a screening, because it's like having really good seats in the West End, without the hassle or expense!

Just back from watching live screening encore. Absolutely riveting. Brilliant play and Jodie Comer has to be the best actress of her generation. So glad I saw it.

A trivial thing but what long fingers she has ! Having always had rather short square hands I notice these things !!

Saw it on Monday. She is brilliant. She switches from the light hearted and funny to the serious and heart rendingly emotional so easily. Not an easy play or subject and watching can be very disturbing.
As far as her Liverpool accent goes she slips in and out of it when appropriate. She does a "posh" accent very well.

I saw it at the Harold Pinter in May..... it also a breath taking performance..... she's taking it to Broadway next

I thought it was fantastic. I read that it is going to Broadway.

So pleased that Jodie won an Olivier award for this - well deserved!
