I went to see Crawdads last week with 3 friends. Two of them had read the book. We all loved it! The ones who had read the book said it was a good interpretation. Several other friends are now going on our recommendation - hope they aren't disappointed!

Chewbacca love the attendant’s review! I would have walked out at that point and gone for Prosecco instead ?

Went to the cinema with a friend last weekend and both The Railway Children and Where The Crawdads Sing were showing. We couldn't decide which to see and so asked a member of staff which he'd recommend. He said "They're both crap but Where The Crawdads Sing is the worst!" Heaven knows what it must have been like because The Railway Children was dire.

Went on Friday with DD and a wine club friend; we all thought it was brilliant and kept very much to the book which we have all read, and are quite critical readers and film-goers. Whereas I went to see the new Railway Children film and was left quite underwhelmed; weak storyline and not a patch on the original, very poor in my opinion.

I went with my Daughter on Friday. We have both read the book and both enjoyed the film very much. Never go by ‘professional critics’

I haven't yet seen the film, but have read the book. A friend who has seen the film thought it was terrific.

Just returned from watching this film, not worth the entrance charge. It was an enormous cinema and there were seven of us in it. Wish I had gone to see 5he arailway children with GDs instead.

Just wondering whether anyone has seen this film, and whether it is as dire as the reviews say it is? I've not seen a single good review.
