At the age of 78 having survived a brain aneurysm Joni Mitchell was brought to the NFF by Brandi Carlisle and stole the show. The voice isn't the same but the star quality and the emotion remains. She says she had to learn to do everything again even standing up. It's an amazing performance www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxiluPSmAF8

What a shame it wasn’t Newport, Isle of Wight. I’d probably been able to hear it across the Solent. ?

Joni’s songs, her art, have been the soundtrack to my adult life

MissAdventure Thu 28-Jul-22 20:20:19

smile
It seems to mean so much more, given what she has been through.

FarNorth Thu 28-Jul-22 20:08:24

My husband loves her. He has a lot of her albums. She was never my cup of tea but she wrote some lovely songs.

LauraNorderr Thu 28-Jul-22 19:32:18

Yes Merlotgran, Brandi too.
