BBC is doing an amazing job, by using iplayer to show - in real time- many of the sports as they take place.

I am a gymnastics fan - but have NEVER previously been able to see all the rounds of this sport. These rounds provide not just Team Champions, but also those who go through to finals both in All Around and individual apparatus.

So wonderful to be able to see all of this happening on my tv - many of the competitors can never make it through to any final, so normally would not be able to see them work.

So very many sports, so very many competitors, thanks to the BBC I am able to really enjoy it all.

My other sport I love is Diving - and then, of course, many of the field athletic events. I am looking forward to a total feast over the next few days.

I watched the women's Tet this afternoon. I'm a Brummie and we used to cycle to Sutton Park in the school holidays so it's an area I remember well. I'll watch some of the athletics too, I could walk to Alexander park as a child and it was often used for school athletics, both my sis and I have competed there (not that we were any good!). Birmingham is actually a lovely city with lots of parks and 37 miles of canals, it's much maligned but rather unfairly, I think.

Not watching it at all, nor the football. For me sports/exercise is something you do, not something you watch.

I’m going to watch the men’s 200m freestyle because a colleague’s son is representing ???????.

I've just turned on the TV and found myself watching beach volleyball. What is the point of beach volleyball? Seriously! I can imagine that a family could have an impromptu game on the beach but it's a game that can be played on a court like tennis or netball. You don't have tons of sand brought in to the city for those games, so why volleyball which is, I know, a game requiring great skill, fitness and agility which, perhaps, should be better known in our schools as an alternative to the usual games.

I have been watching the swimming. It is excellent that the Para swimmers are included in the coverage. The home nations are doing well in the medal table so far.

I am watching the gymnastics MOnica because it is something I have never been able to even attempt. Unlike DD who was very good .

My iplayer isn’t working. Wanted to watch the marathon to see if I recognised my home town.

Coverage of the gymnastics has been excellent. The best I have known of a major event ever. I still have this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon to complete my feast of seeing this sport. (I do not follow Rhythmic Gymnastics).

Did find the time-tabling rather tight - with the women competing until very late on Sunday night and then not even having a day off before going into their All-Around competition. No wonder there were several falls from apparatus, and one injury. And, then again this afternoon they are back for the individual apparatus. Those who did not take part in the All Around will be at an advantage because of this.

Lovely seeing such excellence there. Many of those gymnasts will now have the European Championships and then the World Championships (the latter being the start of Olynpic selection). So, some of the exercises being shown at Commonwealths are, probably, 'work in progress'.

The Rugby Sevens, particularly the Ladies. I’ve watched family members male and female playing rugby for over 50 years and thoroughly enjoyed the three day treat
