Last week's postponed Strictly is on tonight at 7pm. Apparently Rose & Giovanni will be reprising their winning routine.

But I would rather have not known.

Some random person just said who had been ‘booted off’ - his words.

So felt cross about it.

I have accidentally seen on Facebook who was eliminated.

Did not mean to.

Grr!

(Will not spoil it for others).

Don’t fret. Those who want to know will have looked it up and those who don’t, won’t.

Didn’t like the theme, the music and most of the dances.

I did like Helen, and Fleur

I've never been that keen on Shirley but calling Jayde an 'outstanding dancer' is just bonkers.

The whole evening was very strange with some poor dancing apart from Helen Hamza and Will. Tony is really funny though.

Joseanne Sun 23-Oct-22 09:01:26

The irony is that Shirley said to someone (?) else something like - now we're getting further into the competition, it's the actual dancing that matters more.

Clawdy Sun 23-Oct-22 08:49:14

Jayde an "outstanding dancer "?? What a ludicrous comment.

Joseanne Sun 23-Oct-22 08:48:01

Jayde is not an outstanding dancer, even if the Head Judge says she is.

I totally agree Calendargirl! hmm

I agree too, it is getting laughable but I can't be bothered to get cross anymore.

I did notice that on the Eastenders set (James), the Queen Vic was already decorated for the Christmas filming. Better get my states on and start preparing! ?

Sara1954 Sun 23-Oct-22 08:47:33

I’m not sure who will be in the bottom two.
I didn’t like Mollies routine at all, but she’s been very good up until this week.
Tony, well the public obviously like him.
Jayde deserves to be there, but she probably won’t, I have enjoyed a couple of her routines, but she obviously has limits.
The only two I think should be safe are Hamza and
Helen

Sparklefizz Sun 23-Oct-22 07:52:07

It was self-indulgent of the BBC to inflict their theme tunes onto Strictly. The same tunes were being played on the radio earlier in the day as well.

The judging was so inconsistent again. Love Hand a and the two make actors but everything else was lacklustre. I can't stand Horse's shouting. Does my 'ead in innit?

Calendargirl Sun 23-Oct-22 07:40:44

Still haven’t got over Shirley telling Jayde “You are an outstanding dancer”. Even to my untrained eye, ‘outstanding’ is not an adjective I would use to describe her stomping about.

At least she didn’t cry this week.

Seems I am not alone in disliking Couple’s Choice. It was Molly’s worst week, and she looked genuinely shocked to be told her usually excellent performance was not so good. Her parents in the audience looked very glum, especially her dad.

Shirley’s straight hairstyle did nothing for her either.

The whole show was not a patch on the standard of last week.

Grannynannywanny Sun 23-Oct-22 07:00:29

Just reading all the comments about last night’s show and surprised to see most of you felt the same as me about the music . I thought it was just me. I usually love it but last night I didn’t enjoy the show nearly as much as previous Saturday nights.

Zoejory Sat 22-Oct-22 23:55:21

Very disappointing after last week.

toscalily Sat 22-Oct-22 23:53:10

I did not enjoy tonights show, most of the music was difficult to dance to and some of the routines seemed a bit odd to me. Jayde's outfit was not very flattering and her dancing was stompy, the rest were mediocre with the exception of Helen & Hamza.

Mollygo Sat 22-Oct-22 23:26:34

Not impressed at all tonight. I liked the dancers in the sea-green outfits-but I was so disinterested I can’t remember who they were.
Tony’s music was rubbish tonight. Even Craig would have had trouble making a meaningful dance to that.
I expect he’ll be in the bottom two with the school outfits.

ginny Sat 22-Oct-22 22:53:20

Also wondered why they put Ellie in a dress that Great Aunt Ada would have worn. It totally overwhelmed her and not in keeping with a Spanish dance.

ginny Sat 22-Oct-22 22:45:50

I agree about the music choices.
Tony and Jade in the bottom two for me. I was obviously watching different dances to the ones the judges could see !

Joseanne Sat 22-Oct-22 22:30:37

I wasn't dazzled by the content of this week's show, and I agree that the music didn't lend itself to the dances. For me, Helen was good, as was Hamza.
Kym will be in the bottom two again I think.

Callistemon21 Sat 22-Oct-22 22:12:54

The music choices were strange, forced and off putting and inconsistent

I agree, some were very difficult to dance to, forced is a good word as they're not natural dance numbers.

Of course I meant Craig, not Clive Maw.

I knew when I was typing it didn’t seem right, but somehow ……

confused

He just doesn't look like a Clive! ?

I was less than impressed with a couple of the routines tonight but the judges thought differently.

Sara1954 Sat 22-Oct-22 21:34:33

Didn’t enjoy it quite so much this week, thought Helen was lovely, but as usual, I didn’t like the couples choice.
Nothing wowed me, I wasn’t even sure who to vote for.

Sweetpeasue Sat 22-Oct-22 20:55:03

I have to agree Grandma batty Some ot these programme theme tunes were not good to dance too. I hated the Blue Peter theme too. Seemed very self-indulgent of the BBC to take over a Strictly programme.
