BBC Young Musician of the Year. BBC4

I didn’t realise it was on. I will catch up with it on iPlayer. A previous runaway winner of YMY, Freddie Kempf, is now one of my favourite pianists. I’ve seen him in concert many times. As has been said, incredible talent across all the instruments.

I hadn't realized until yesterday lunch time that it was on but I caught the keyboard round and will definitely watch the final. The winner of Keyboard was amazing: even I, a "I don't know much abut it but I know what I like" enthusiast, could hear something almost otherworldly going on.

Yes I watch it on iPlayer. It's brilliant, incredible talent.
