Did anyone watch this? I really like Stephen Graham but I was a bit put off by the references to the murder of MP Jo Cox.

Was it worth watching?

The first episode just set the scene, really. I thought it was quite good, but it could go either way in the next episodes.

I thought it was very good - hard hitting and similar to Ridley Road but more up to date.

I really like Stephen Graham and I think this an important series as it is based on true events.

I found it quite difficult to hear - whether it was the accents or whether the sound was muffled I don't know, but I found it quite hard going.

It is based on an actual person and events. The reference to Jo Cox is important because she was murdered by someone from this extreme organisation, and other murders were apparently being planned but thwarted.

I thought it was excellent, I do agree though with the above comment about difficult to hear - maybe I will use subtitles next time

Thankyou all I’ll give it a go this evening as there is football on.

I watched it. Stephen Graham is a brilliant actor (Little Boy Blue and Boiling Point). I think he brings gravitas and heft to the roles he plays. I’m impressed by this drama so far. Based on a true story which makes it chilling.

Graham is a very good actor, but he often plays a flawed hero or a reformed criminal. This role is not unlike Combo in This Is England. And his role in The Virtues. And the one in Line of Duty grin.

Pressed 'send' too soon. I meant to say that he plays them all to perfection, but it would be good to see him stretched a bit. Even the drama where he was a chef was on the same lines.

Finished watching this series on catchup last night. It was scary in some places, i found the portral of the leader of the organisation really frightening. The younger one of the three was very scary too and it makes you think about who is walking around feeling the same as them. So glad they all got put in prision.

Just watched the last episode, food for thought.

The MP who was the intended target felt she had to leave politics and take up a role elsewhere.

Yes, it is frightening that there are such people around with such hatred in their hearts.

just watched a documentary called i think, the real walk in.
it was about the rise of extreme right wing fascist groups in the uk, esp national action.
i found it interesting, and sobering to think, as said above, that such murderous plots are probably going on in a pub, park or cafe near each of us.
having watched all of it i still no idea why it was called the real walk in.
from the OP above i learn that there was a drama based on these events called that.
i rarely watch tv drama.

Thanks for the heads up, I've just finished watching it. Excellent acting, highly recommended.

It was brilliant, disturbing and at times difficult to watch but worth it.

It’s was a brilliant watch. Also saw him in Help…think it’s on prime… with Jodie Comer. He’s a fabulously actor.

Agreed. It was very dark, and very unsettling to think that these people walk among us. According to a news item I heard recently, they have popped up on Twitter again now that Elon Musk is heading it and has removed any censorship.
