Is anyone watching the new series? Although I liked the last couple of seasons I didn’t like them quite as much as season one. However I think they struggled with producing it with covid restrictions and imo season 4 is back to it’s brilliant best. I’m loving it. Trying not to binge watch it.

I love how Robin has such an open mind and is still interested in new things after so many, many years.

Oh, I love Robin! He's so clever, and it's so clever to make him like that when all we see is a caveman. He's been there so long, on his own...

The best comedies are ones that make you cry as well as laugh. I haven’t seen that episode yet because I’m watching it on catchup. But I saw the very end when I turned the tv on to watch HIGNFY last night and my eyes welled up. ( I love Robin so much).

It was sad when Mary 'passed on'. All the different emotional reactions to bereavement, according to who the ghost personalities are.

MayBe70 I don't know about an American version. Our son bought the UK one after we raved about it. He likes a bit of UK 'culture' as he is so far away.

My grandsons love Ghosts, too. There’s now a BBCSounds podcast discussing each episode.

What a sad episode yesterday.
I suppose popular actors can't be everywhere at once!
All episodes are on iPlayer if you think it's on too late for youngsters. I expect it's because they need a popular half hour programme to fill a slot.

My grandsons love Ghosts. DD and I can never understand why it's on so late when there's nothing inappropriate in it. And, of course, they are big fans of Horrible Histories.

Thanks Richmond. I watched a utube interview with them when they were promoting Bill and they all work so well together. In fact I’m going to dig my Bill dvd out and watch it now.

MayBee70 You're not the only one afraid of the plague girl. Don't you just love how the Captain jumps ever time he sees her.

If you're a fan of Ben Willibond, you might want to have a look at Martha Howe-Douglas's twitter page as she posts up 'treat' photos of him. All very fun and silly. twitter.com/MarthaHD

I'm glad we got Mary's backstory. No spoilers now!

I was halfway through the second series when I realised that the ghosts in the cellar were being played by the same actors as the upstairs ghosts. Doh ?

The first time I saw plague girl in series one I was watching late at night and had to turn the tv off as she scared me.

And, of course, he was the footman when the Queen met Paddington.

I ^wondered" where I'd seen him. Thanks for that Callistemon

Yes
Rather like Hitchcock, a cameo appearance ?

MayBee70 Thu 13-Oct-22 14:05:52

Which he also wrote…

It was only when I Wikipedia’d him that I realised he was in Jam and Jerusalem. ( I loved that). And The Mighty Boosh. He’s one of he those writer/actors that make a series good but often in a subtle background sort of way eg in Detectorists. I’m on a Facebook Ghosts appreciation page and we’ve all got a crush on Ben Willbond blush. I must rewatch Bill. I’ve got it on dvd.

RichmondPark1 Thu 13-Oct-22 12:28:19

Oh, and Detectorists.

I’ve always wanted to watch Yonderland but I don’t think you can get it on dvd. Not many people realise that Simon Farnaby is the brains behind so many funny and feel good things eg Paddington

RichmondPark1 Thu 13-Oct-22 12:14:55

"Wazzock"

Pat says it.

MayBee70 Thu 13-Oct-22 11:44:46

It’s on BBC. I loved Horrible Histories. And my favourite podcast is You’re Dead to Me which is written by Greg Jenner who was the chief nerd on Horrible Histories.

Caleo Thu 13-Oct-22 11:41:26

Ghosts does not make me laugh it makes me feel good. It's a brilliant idea for a sit- comedy series.

Witzend Thu 13-Oct-22 11:33:44

Which channel please?
