Doc Martin. Lovely scenery, sunshine. Cheers me up and reminds me of when we watched them filming it whilst on holiday in Port Isaac. I'm sure life must be like that somewhere!

I often watch Morse episodes, nor really comfort viewing, but reminds me of how our life was 30+ years ago, and like spotting actors/actresses in their younger days, i.e. Adrian Dunbar, Gina McKee, Samantha Bond et al.

And of course a youthful Kevin Whateley and the lovely much missed John Thaw.

I've watched Dinner Ladies in China, Spain and Switzerland when working overseas and feeling homesick. Easy to watch and cheers me up.

Last Tango in Halifax for me, love it!

The Big Bang Theory for us. We have just finished the last episode but have Young Sheldon up next. Any series where you can get involved in the characters' lives makes easy watching.

Keeping Up Appearances. Even though it’s the same jokes all the time, it still makes me laugh.

I'm currently working my way through all the early episodes of Granchester with James Norton, and Jonathan Creek which is all new to me. Not exactly comfort viewing but so much better than the latest offerings on TV which are all so dark.

Schitts Creek, never fails.

As for watching things when I feel low - Father Brown for me.

I too love Dinner Ladies no matter how many times I watch it, and I never binge watched anything until this year and so far it’s been Last Kingdom (I binge read all the books too), The Crown, and currently I’m absolutely hooked on The West Wing. Can’t stop watching it.

Just realised that this week I have watched all the episodes of Dinnerladies again. Somehow I find it comforting and love watching Victoria Wood as Brenda with Julie Walters as her mum. It's not challenging and has a feel good message.
Wondered whether anyone else has a go to tv or film series when you feel a bit low ?
