I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

Aveline Sun 20-Nov-22 10:03:09

My post was about Boy George. I think Matt's OK.

Aveline Sun 20-Nov-22 10:01:48

Ooh. Time he was voted out. He needs to learn that his strops and unpleasantness are not OK.
I'm now all for Seann to win (but I doubt he will sad)

OnwardandUpward Sun 20-Nov-22 10:00:59

Oh dear, divas and cheats!

Matt is intelligent. I do wonder if his calm disposition is a front and his plan to leave the shaving water is to expose the ones who complain as being petty, while he keeps his composure, no matter what. It is a game and I think Matt is playing to win. Unless he has a housekeeper IRL then I am sure he knows not to leave his shaving water, especially when sharing with so many others.

I hope Owen or Scarlette win though.

More behind the scenes gossip. Mike cheated in the game! His rugby nickname was not Magic Mike. Oh deary me. How could he hope to get away with that.
Mike accused of cheating

Chestnut Sun 20-Nov-22 09:50:13

Oh dear, George has been having even bigger strops off camera! The DM does love to dish the gossip. He stole an apple and went off sulking in the bushes because they wouldn't give him a buggy to get up the hill after the trial. 😂😂
George threatened to quit

OnwardandUpward Sun 20-Nov-22 09:50:09

Matt when Sue complained he hadn't emptied his shaving water, "you just tip it out" shock Oh, is that a woman's job then? Shocking behaviour!

If "you just tip it out", why didn't he?

Chestnut Sun 20-Nov-22 09:46:09

I think they’re going for MH because they believe it’s earning them kudos with the viewing public - get the Tory.
But I think this will backfire because they are revealing themselves as not very nice. And the public are quite supportive of Matt after seeing his performance and mostly very polite behaviour.

tickingbird Sun 20-Nov-22 09:30:00

I think they’re going for MH because they believe it’s earning them kudos with the viewing public - get the Tory. I like Seann and when he disagreed with the rest of them and stuck up for Matt he was obviously uncomfortable but did it anyway. Also he was right, Matt is unfazed and does just get stuck in. He’s done the most awful trials and maybe the likes of Chris and Mike feel intimidated by such a stalwart.

Aveline Sun 20-Nov-22 09:25:01

Gosh was Sue done for drink driving shock!

Millie22 Sun 20-Nov-22 08:59:59

Oops drivers.

Grannynannywanny Sun 20-Nov-22 08:58:48

sue who plays Eileen in corrie proves she can't act and only learns the script.. she is just playing herself

I agree lemsip. She chided Matt like one of her many lodgers in Corrie 😂

I still think he deserved it.

Millie22 Sun 20-Nov-22 08:58:25

Sue is very mean and petty. I've no time for drink dtivers anyway so hope she's out soon.

lemsip Sun 20-Nov-22 08:33:42

Owen's twice a week haircut would be a careful trim in the make-up room of hollyoaks.

lemsip Sun 20-Nov-22 08:31:09

Grannynannywanny Sun 20-Nov-22 08:20:16

I was fascinated to hear last night that Owen has his hair cut twice a week. Surely his hair can’t grow much in 3 days. I wonder if he’ll realise that now he’s had no access to a hairdresser for a couple of weeks. He’s coming across as a really nice guy and I think he might win.

I think Sue was right to challenge Matt for leaving his dirty shaving water in the bowl as it was at least the second time he’d done it. Using a primitive shared dunny is bad enough without coming out to wash your hands in a communal bowl and finding it full of used dirty shaving water.

Smileless2012 Sun 20-Nov-22 08:11:34

That was me Sara; Matt seems to have been cast in the role of Piggy.

And the dominant colour that's being shown is black rafichagran.

ruined her jungle experience!!! What a load of rubbish. I think you're right Zoejory. She should google impartiality as she clearly doesn't know what it means.

I agree about leaving dirty shaving water, he's done that twice but not exactly the crime of the century is it, and she could have told him without announcing it to the entire camp.

Aveline Sun 20-Nov-22 07:42:52

Yes the shaving bowl incident wasn't very nice. However, I bet there are lots of such incidences. I hate to think about the whole dunny situation with so many sharing!
I don't find this year's group very pleasant at all really, or interesting. If Matt hadn't been there as a sort of focus then it would have been very dull.
I liked last year's group better somehow.

Galaxy Sun 20-Nov-22 07:21:04

Expecting someone to clean up after you have shaved is unpleasant. I dont know any women who would tolerate that.

OnwardandUpward Sun 20-Nov-22 00:34:24

I think Matt went to Boarding school because he seems completely at ease with people he doesn't know very well. He is quietly confident and not fazed, unless he's extremely good at Poker Face, that is!

Sean seems to be on edge still. Interesting that he and Owen both admitted talking to a counsellor once a week. They are probably missing that. I still don't like Chris.

Zoejory Sun 20-Nov-22 00:29:11

It's not pleasant. And now Charlene has given an interview saying Matt ruined her jungle experience. She talks about how she needs to be impartial but I doubt think she understands what that word means.

Chestnut Sat 19-Nov-22 23:52:58

I've never watched this before but have watched Big Brother a couple of times and that was a lot worse! People were saying the nastiest things face to face as well as in the diary room. This is pretty tame by comparison.

rafichagran Sat 19-Nov-22 22:58:38

Some peoples true colours are coming out now, they really cant hide it.

Sara1954 Sat 19-Nov-22 22:56:04

Someone said earlier it’s rather like watching Lord of the Flies.
Wonder how far it would go if it weren’t being televised, and there was no Ant and Dec and film crew watching.
I think Sue, as camp deputy, would order Matt to be hunted down, and eaten for dinner, what a nasty lot they are.

Smileless2012 Sat 19-Nov-22 22:45:38

It hasn't been this bad for a while Callistemon. I honestly have never felt this uncomfortable watching it before. There's been nastiness before but not with the majority of the camp having it in for one person.

Even Owen's getting caught up in it now.

Yes Joseanne there is something sinister about it this year and it's not a good look.

rafichagran Sat 19-Nov-22 22:43:01

I would like to see Sue go next, she goes on about the shaving bowl, she took the opportunity to tell Matt to wash his hands after the bird mess incident, as if he does not know.
I also think there is something of the bully about her, I think she picks on people who she realises others do not like.
I really liked Mike, but I am changing my mind now.
