I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

Galaxy Mon 14-Nov-22 19:52:37

I dont think they should mess with the format, it never works when they do. I think the public are voting for Matt as some form of catharsis for the country smile. I think in the past the leaders of the camp have been exempt from a trial so they may manipulate it that way.

BlueBelle Mon 14-Nov-22 21:24:12

This is getting very boring now Not sure if I can keep on much longer

Joseanne Mon 14-Nov-22 21:25:28

That trial was extreme! 😲

Grannynannywanny Mon 14-Nov-22 21:37:42

Did Hancock really just say to get through that trial he thought of his children and Gina? Is that not his girlfriend he was caught fondling on cctv and then dumped his wife and children for her once he was caught out??
🤢

BlueBelle Mon 14-Nov-22 22:01:56

Yes Gina is his new girlfriend grannynannywanny

I think that viewers votes was well rigged I think they ve got wind that it’s getting boring and decided to rev it up a bit
Wouldn’t surprise me if the ring in was all a con anyway

Smileless2012 Mon 14-Nov-22 22:47:47

Do we know that he dumped his children? Does he now have nothing to do with them?

Looking forward to tomorrow's trial especially Chris who didn't look very pleased at being voted for it. George on the other hand looked positively elated; I think he'll do OK and Babatunde will probably laugh his way through it.

I see the RSPCA are concerned about the animals used in the programme.

FannyCornforth Tue 15-Nov-22 03:31:05

They’ve been complaining about it for years, but they are blooming useless as usual (the RSPCA is a huge bugbear of mine)
They could easily pull their finger out and do something I’m sure

Sara1954 Tue 15-Nov-22 06:10:05

I’m not clear what the problem is with Matt.
Is it just because he’s a Tory MP? Is it because of the covid thing? Mistakes were obviously made, but not all down to him, or is it because he kissed a woman who was not his wife, breaking Covid ‘guidelines’ ?
He seems a nice enough bloke to me, and you can only speak as you find.

Galaxy Tue 15-Nov-22 06:29:39

I think its many things. Most of us know people who werent able to go their loved ones funerals during covid whilst he was breaking rules he set.

Smileless2012 Tue 15-Nov-22 08:07:22

I wasn't able to say goodbye to my mum before she died in hospital because of Covid but I don't understand the extent of the animosity toward Matt.

I agree Sara, not all the mistakes were down to him and yes he was wrong to have broken Covid guidelines but he wasn't the only one. Lots of people broke the rules and no doubt even more broke the guidelines.

lemsip Tue 15-Nov-22 08:32:50

anyone watching this, I am and wonder why charlene white is not penalised for not sleeping in the rv where she is supposed to as deputy leader..... is it because matt is leader so in there too and she doesn't want to be seen to get to friendly.

Millie22 Tue 15-Nov-22 09:00:14

Thank goodness someone else is doing the trial and not Matt. It was getting soooo boring to see some of them moaning when he was the one getting them food.

It'll be interesting to see how many stars they get tonight. I wish they'd stop using animals though of all kinds.

Joseanne Tue 15-Nov-22 09:00:15

Charlene definitely has an agenda, I dislike her, manner, though her turn on the plank was admirable.
I think she said she is cross that she couldn't say goodbye to an auntie who had covid, yet Matt was seen breaking the rules.
As an aside, I too was deeply upset and am still traumatised about not being with my beautiful dog when he was pts during covid, but I don't hate Matt as a person for this. It was what it was, I have to move on.
Sorry Smileless2012, I know your grief must have been, and still must be, immeasurable. 💐

Joseanne Tue 15-Nov-22 09:04:19

Has anyone else noticed a weird thing about Matt? We probably won't see so much of him doing it now, but he has such a strange, funny way of walking along the bridge! He even stumbled over first time.

Smileless2012 Tue 15-Nov-22 09:07:08

Thank you Joseanne.

I noticed that too but it might be because the bridge wobbles when you walk on it.

Joseanne Tue 15-Nov-22 09:09:04

He looks like a duck waddling!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Nov-22 09:37:39

It is not easy to walk across a rope bridge, I have always really struggled. I think it’s a combination of the height along with the wobble factor that gets me,

Joseanne Tue 15-Nov-22 09:40:22

I felt odd on the Millennium Bridge once in wind and rain.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Nov-22 09:55:35

Joseanne

I felt odd on the Millennium Bridge once in wind and rain.

There is definitely something about that bridge, even after it has been stabilised

Those who don’t like the Conservatives will never say anything remotely complementary about Matt Hancock or any one of the others who are in the party.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he shouldn’t be there because he should be at work in Westminster. However there is no criticism of ITV who have employed him to appear on the programme, and it’s not the first time they’ve done it. They had Nadine Dorries on previously. ITV should be more responsible in my opinion and only ask people who are actually properly available to appear on their programme.

We would all do well to remember that Matt Hancock was not alone responsible for all the rules and guidelines during Covid. The government had collective responsibility for everything that happened. The reason people couldn’t go into hospital to say goodbye to their loved ones was for our collective good, so they didn’t catch Covid and pass it on. I was in hospital for twelve days with Covid without a single visitor, but I don’t blame MH or anyone else. It was what it was. It was to prevent further infections.

I’ve just lost my own mother and I wasn’t with her when she died, nothing to do with Covid. I live with that, we all do.

Smileless I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s hard losing your mum isn’t it flowers

Smileless2012 Tue 15-Nov-22 10:17:42

Thank you maddy. flowers for you too.

glammanana Tue 15-Nov-22 10:42:02

Joseanne

I really hope Boy George gets booted off first. He's a horrible person going round all the others with his digs.

Joseanne I find him very passive aggressive in his sly comments about other contestants he seems so jealous of not being centre of attraction all the time,I would have liked to see how many stars he could have collected whilst buried underground .

I don't think we've seen anyone else walk the bridge. Are they showing Matt because he does all the trials or because they're picking on him? Maybe today we'll see three others walk the bridge and see how they do.

I don't think I would ever have been able to do this programme (even if I'd wanted to ) as I wouldn't be able to make it across the bridge, let alone do any trials. 😟

Chestnut Tue 15-Nov-22 10:54:30

Moyles and George are both seething with resentment at Matt's success and being camp leader, getting all the comforts, giving orders. Tonight it's their turn to do a trial, can't wait! Shame they have each other to hold hands, it would be better if they were alone. Baba has at least done a trial on his own.

Can you believe that George complained about washing the potatoes. After all the terrible trials faced by Matt and he complains about that. What a pathetic little diva. Washing dirty potatoes should not be a big deal, you just do it when preparing the food. 🤦‍♀️
