I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

FannyCornforth Thu 17-Nov-22 07:38:07

Yes, Galaxy I really loved him. As soon as he went in, I realised that he was quite dull, and I expected some unpleasantness to come out.
As I said up thread (I think !) his first autobiography is a brilliant read. But I suppose that it’s because ghost written and there is some fantastic material to be had there.
It could be worse though.
Look at what has happened to / with Madonna 😱

It was uncomfortable, I had always liked Boy George, his family life was difficult in some ways, and he was a trailblazer, and he has a beautiful voice, but it's quite hard for me to get beyond. I always thought the crime was completely underplayed by the media and the public to some extent.

Galaxy

I wondered how the victim in the boy George case felt when he denied any responsibility last night.

That’s what I thought, the assault happened it went to court and BG went to prison.

I try not to judge people to harshly but I am struggling with BG for all his Buddhist meditations he is not coming over as very genuine or empathetic.

FannyCornforth Thu 17-Nov-22 07:18:13

I’ve just googled it. He just denied it. Blimey

FannyCornforth Thu 17-Nov-22 07:16:30

He blamed the drugs, I expect?

FannyCornforth Thu 17-Nov-22 07:16:03

Did he!?! Wow envy

I’ve been wondering how his wife must feel. I reckon she must be fuming, I know that I would be.

So you don’t like anyone who’s not a Matt fan chestnut I don’t think boy George or Chris Moyles have done anything particularly wrong I do think a lot of the others are being very smarmy to hancocks face I felt for Chris moyles in that task he’s obviously not a natural in water and very uncomfortable in small spaces
Anyway tricky Matt has done what he wanted he’s the leader of the gang obviously very good at lots of physical things so good for all the tasks, popular because he’s brought home the bacon and wrung his heart out to ask for forgiveness So he’s played a blinder and yes probably will win which just shows how fickle many people are
Don’t worry that he’s part of the government that has brought the country to its knees or that his wife and kids are probably having a hell of a time hearing him talk about the love of his life on T v or that he’s copped out of Government work to be a tv personality whilst still getting his salary or that he has peoples lives on his hands none of that matters at all because he’s being a good amiable sport and team player, good old chap
I think a lot in there are being VERY two faced to Hancock and makes me feel quite nauseous at least Boy George doesn’t do fawning

Good post Bluebelle

they they are called to that little room and talk to the camera they are given tasks on what to ask others about I think.

as charlene isn't sleeping in the rv, why doesn't one of the others do it and free up a bed so they don't have to use the hammock

Sara1954 Thu 17-Nov-22 06:06:44

Feeling sorry for Chris Moyles, or any of the other celebs is plain ridiculous.
When they sign up for it, what are they expecting? They can take a good guess at what might be expected of them.
Love him or hate him, at least Matt Hancock is getting the job done.

Well Moyles has now been well and truly humiliated with two failures in one day. So that's him put in his box. Maybe now he'll stop sneering at Matt (who kept him well fed). Now we just have to sort George out with a dreadful task!

Joseanne Wed 16-Nov-22 22:51:10

Boy George asked Sean if it was deliberate that Scarlette shut him down from questioning Matt over Brexit. Well of course it was deliberate, they've had enough of BG's voice but he can't see it.

Smileless2012 Wed 16-Nov-22 22:46:57

I think Matt could win MissA!!!

Callistemon21 Wed 16-Nov-22 21:43:23

Not sure if she was Captain now.
Could be misinformation.

MissAdventure Wed 16-Nov-22 21:35:54

Ah yes.

The lioness sounds much better. smile

MissAdventure Wed 16-Nov-22 21:35:08

None of them leap out as being particularly interesting, to me.

Callistemon21 Wed 16-Nov-22 21:33:15

MissAdventure

I don't know who's who now.
Is Jill the thin lady?
Sorry, don't know enough about her to describe her any other way.

Yes, she's tall and slim with plaits.

She's a Lioness ie she was Captain of the England Women's football team .

BlueBelle Wed 16-Nov-22 21:33:12

Yes MissA Jill is very slight
I feel sorry for Chris that was a horrible task

merlotgran Wed 16-Nov-22 21:31:05

Chris will keep getting voted for now.

MissAdventure Wed 16-Nov-22 21:30:19

Does anyone think Matt will win?

Jill.

Although she needs to do more trials to prove herself.

MissAdventure Wed 16-Nov-22 21:22:27

Perhaps I should watch now...

lixy Wed 16-Nov-22 20:54:28

Oh gosh, do hope not - he's enjoying the attention far too much already.

My (metaphorical) money's on Mike or Jill.
