I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

maddyone Tue 22-Nov-22 10:53:35

she has….

maddyone Tue 22-Nov-22 10:53:20

Because she’s has no manners Callistemon.

Yes, and why does she announce all her toilet activities ?

Yes, that was off putting.

It has been reported that Sue Cleaver has campaigned for the Labour Party during elections, so it’s not really surprising that she dislikes being so close to a Conservative MP. She’s made her dislike clear from the very beginning. In my opinion she’s been rude and badly mannered, actually in more ways than one. The sign of good manners is that even if you dislike a person, you keep your personal feelings private and get on with the job in hand. After all, these people are at work. They’re earning money.

maddyone Tue 22-Nov-22 10:45:12

Its no wonder his constituents feel so let down.

Do they? I haven’t seen/heard/read anything about whether they feel let down or not, so not able to comment on that.

I have repeatedly said he should be at work in Westminster, as should Nadine Dorries when she did it.

Anyone else hear Martin Kemp talking on Radio 2 this morning?
He said that he used to be afraid of Boy George as he had a vicious tongue, but that he has matured into a nice guy. MK thought BG was doing very well to be himself without the mask of makeup he usually hides behind in public.

I was amazed - I like MK and would usually agree with him, but I haven't seen anything to like in BG in the jungle and hope he goes soon.

I agree that Matt should go back to his day job. He said "Rishi is smart, he can manage" (or something) but if his job was not necessary, why would he have been employed? Only Matt knows if his day job is a joke where hes not needed, or if hes putting himself before the country.

While Matt plays for his own popularity in the jungle, Rishi Sunak was visiting the Ukraine, meeting Zelensky.

I think while MH is still being paid for the job he is employed to do full time he should be at home actually doing the job. If he’s completely washed his hands of his MP post he should have done the decent thing and resigned before setting off for Australia. It’s no wonder his constituents feel so let down.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could all just bow out of work whenever we fancy and have an all expenses trip to Australia.

My daughter is an NHS nurse and she and her colleagues are working under such pressure that they can’t even take the annual leave they are entitled to use. They know if one of their team takes time off it places the rest of the team under immense pressure trying to share the workload.

I can see MH has a lot of supporters on here and I’ll probably be shot down in flames but I’m appalled by his behaviour. Yes, he’s conducted himself well in camp and excelled in the challenges. But I can’t accept that any of that takes away from the fact he shouldn’t be there. He should be at home doing the job he’s employed and paid to do.

Rant over!

Someone -who knows how to do it- might need to link this thread to a new one later today when it reaches 1000 posts!
What it does show is that a good number of GNetters find it an interesting discussion.

dogsmother Tue 22-Nov-22 08:56:22

Yes 10/10 Matt however he is a politician not a celebrity and his job is done. He can buzz off now.
My choice is Jill she is only ever supporting and encouraging and never complaining. She does her very best when faced with a challenge.

Joseanne Tue 22-Nov-22 08:48:22

I think Matt should be at work in Westminster too, but he has decided to be in Australia, maybe a bit like Charlene and the others in order to ensure his future career, (which might no longer be in politics).
Interestingly, I don't think Matt does relaxing "holidays" as such. This summer he went to France and climbed Mont Blanc to raise money for his local hospice.
I remember in 2020 he holidayed down in Cornwall to show people it wasn't necessary to go abroad during the pandemic.

And just before she left she made comments about armpit hair and farting. The others looked pretty disgusted. I don't know why she thinks they would want to know all about her personal issues.

Yes, my Grandson aged 9 said one day, he was going for a dump, he thought he was being grown up and cool. A woman of her age saying it sounded very juvenile and vulgar.

BlueBelle Tue 22-Nov-22 06:34:29

Oh for the sake of mike zoe that’s why he’s there to be the good egg He should have never left his important job and been in there, it’s a complete dumbing down Politician's should be working for the country not trying to be a celebrity
I totally agree kevin disgusting that he’s in there

LauraNorderr
That’s how I felt about Sue. She kept picking at things, clearly disliked Matt, or her perception of Matt, and wouldn’t give him a chance.

I simply can't understand why on earth Matt Hancock is still there.
Stop voting for him! Make him go back to doing his job. As one of the campmates observed, he's just seeing it as a holiday.

Have you watched the programme?. Seann mentioned the holiday as a jokey comment when Matt went to the beach for the BBQ.

I think most people will know that Matt did 6 trials, alone and did very well. He fed the camp for a week.

He's thrown himself into everything. He's been a good contestant. But it's not been a holiday!

Most of the campmates seemed to like Sue.
Maybe because they didn't hear all her mean comments said on the quiet. A lot of her nasty comments were just whispered to Mike, Chris or Boy George individually.

Callistemon21 Mon 21-Nov-22 22:53:56

And of course we must remember this is only 1 hour out of 24 so really we have no idea what's going on.

We only see what they choose to show us.

Oh, must have missed that.
I should concentrate more 🙂

Matt seems to be on his own rather a lot, still uncertain of himself.

Matt didn't get much air time at all tonight. I think they're worried that Boy George might be out sooner rather than later. After all he is getting half a million so they want their money's worth.

And of course we must remember this is only 1 hour out of 24 so really we have no idea what's going on.

Joane123 Mon 21-Nov-22 22:50:12

Glad Sue has gone.
Owen has been brilliant, hope either he or Jill wins.

Smileless2012 Mon 21-Nov-22 22:48:34

I felt that she was pushing the bad feeling too Laura and thought her reaction to seeing herself having a go at him for not emptying the bowl when he'd shaved was interestinghmm.

I don't think Sue was totally delighted to go. She is an actor after all. She'll be very bewildered that Matt is still in there. Just the other day she was saying how much the public hated Matt. Still a lot of anger, I think she said. I'm pretty sure they thought Matt would be out first. But it's not worked out the way they thought it would. And to be fair I didn't think it would work out this way either. Who'd have thought that Matt, the rank outsider with all the negative publicity, would become so popular?

I'm glad she's gone. I just didn't warm to her. All the talk of farts and poo made me clutch my pearls. I can be such a prude when it comes to discussing botty issues.

And I'm finding it interesting how the younger members seem to be much kinder than the oldies. Owen, Jill, Babbatunde, Scarlette and Seann all seem to be far more pleasant than Sue, George and Chris. And even Mike isn't as great as.I thought he would be.

So that's another day of watching the totally pointless IACGMOOH.
