I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

There are dishonest cheaters in every walk of life. I just enjoy celebrity in the jungle for what it is, an entertainment show. Just chill, - or avoid it completely.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-22 22:54:34

Well not me Houseplantqueen BJshould have gone long long before he did
I don’t forgive any of them, they are all DISHONEST cheaters in all areas of their lives

HousePlantQueen Thu 10-Nov-22 22:40:33

Well why would you like seeing a man who cheats on his family and is a abominable politician and is earning a big cheque on top of his ministerial money which he’s not earning while he’s in Australia
He’s a cheat in all senses of the word and slimy

Apart from the Australian detail this is exactly what Johnson did. I don't understand why he didn't have the whip removed while he had yet another holiday and highly paid lecture tour. The difference is that some people, even on GN, thought his reward for this unparliamentary behaviour should be forgiveness and another go at being PM.

Jill is so cool. The way she thinks on her feet (literally) and just comes up with a random Lioness chant. She is one of my favourites.

Oh she's brilliant. I think she could win.

I have NEVER seen it before - but I’m enjoying it!
And I agree, Matt seems to be getting on well with the others who all seem very friendly and good natured.
I suspect Gavin Williamson might have been a different kettle of fish! grin

Quite agree, Maw!

I didn't watch this for years but a few seasons ago my children started to watch and I ended up hooked.

This year seems to be off to a good start.

👏 it’s nothing to do with highbrow lowbrow TV, I’ve already said I watch plenty rubbish on TV. it’s this man ,who did NOT do his best in the pandemic

Hear hear bluebelle and Varian.

maddyone Thu 10-Nov-22 22:29:42

Ideally MH shouldn’t be in the show, but he is, and I’m not going descend into making nasty remarks about him. He’s there, and I’m watching it.

Smileless2012 Thu 10-Nov-22 22:21:50

I agree merlotgran in fact I thought Chris looked a bit miffed that Matt had done so well. It was one of the worse trials I've seen so well done Matt.

rafichagran Thu 10-Nov-22 22:17:03

Mike is so desperate to do a trial, but I suspect Matt will keep getting voted in.

MissAdventure Thu 10-Nov-22 22:06:05

I think Hancock has blended in well with everyone.
Not sure if that says more about the campmates than him, though.

I’m not fussed about Matt Hancock one way or the other but some of the comments on here are ludicrous. Anyone would think he’s Hitler. Some of you need to get over yourselves.

I agree, I am not fussed either. I have always liked this show, and I thought he was good in the trial.
When Babatunde was saying would take the p... out of him he took it in good humour.

Zoejory Thu 10-Nov-22 21:50:22

I thought I'd like Boy George and I don't. I thought I'd dislike MH but I don't.

Shinamae Thu 10-Nov-22 21:47:29

Well he did that trial very, very well credit to him..

Galaxy Thu 10-Nov-22 21:47:00

I dont watch strictly so the whole 'scandal' with Sean Walsh is news to me. Was he really so hated? I thought everyone had affairs on strictly.

merlotgran Thu 10-Nov-22 21:40:30

The contestants who object to MH being there should opt for rice and beans instead of a share of the full quota of food he earned for them.

maddyone Thu 10-Nov-22 21:25:18

Good heavens, the trial Matt Hancock is doing right now. I can’t watch it, are they trying to drown him?

I expect the audience at the Roman Colosseum enjoyed some fun entertainment.

Did the participants get paid loads of money and have their supporters put up in luxury hotels? 🤔

Joseanne Thu 10-Nov-22 19:39:45

I don't approve of Matt H's past behaviour, but this show is a different scenario. I agree with Allsorts that some of the other contestants were unnecessary frosty and holier than Thou, apart from Scarlette when she said everyone is human and that the media distorts personalities anyway.

Oh sorry I think I have just slandered Dec grin. It was Ant who was the drink driver wasnt it.

Galaxy Thu 10-Nov-22 18:56:24

Well dec is a drink driver and so is Mike tindall, and boy George assaulted a vulnerable man. I can cope with watching all of them and MH because there are ways to make changes in society and not watching Celebrity isnt one of them .

Allsorts Thu 10-Nov-22 18:51:11

I’m enjoying it after all the doom and gloom of last few years. Don’t think Olivia should be paid and was against Hancock going in, however he has added a new dimension. I do have strong views on his behaviour but did feel a tad sorry at the frosty reception, which was totally warranted but I always feel sorry for the underdog, however on reflection he seems totally unrepentant about what he’s done, he certainly believes in himself.
