I can’t see another thread so apologies if there is
After years of not bothering with “I m a celebrity get me out of here” I decided to have a look as I like Boy George
And I have to say I m in now so will need to keep watching this ridiculously daft programme even if it’s just to combat the depressing days
Anyway what do you all think ?

Bridie22 - I’m with you regarding Peter Kay. I’m so thrilled he’s back! 👍
polly123 - I agree - I love people watching! Boy George is behaving like a spoilt child. 🙄 I hope Hancock suffers in there! I’ll be surprised if he has any personality!

Telly? Television, surely!

Televisual entertainment wink

Bridie22 Wed 09-Nov-22 14:54:31

Well those that don't like it , just use the off button 🙂

Vlsnoozy49 Wed 09-Nov-22 14:52:52

I feel the same about early Christmas advertising very depressing

Telly? Television, surely!

Lin663 Wed 09-Nov-22 14:37:55

Sorry but I think it’s lowest common denominator telly

Boy George is a self absorbed pain in the neck. I'd like to see him do some nasty trial but expect he'd claim exemption. That football girl is worryingly thin but seems a good sort.
I'm amused that Matt Hancock is coming in. Unlike most, I don't hold him personally responsible for every aspect of Covid and the response to it. I suspect he, personally, might not be very interesting though. He's not a TV 'personality' or sports performer.

polly123 Wed 09-Nov-22 14:09:35

Boy George will kick off sooner or later, I'm sure. Charlene is too bossy for my liking. Mike Tindall had a candle next to him while trying light a fire from scratch but seems a nice guy. Throwing the grim Matt Hancock into the mix will be very interesting. Don't know much about Moyles but instinctively don't like him. The muscular guy is very dim indeed. Great for people watchers of which I am one!

It's a bit like listening to Peter Kay this morning...somethings just make you smile 🙂
Each to their own !

MissAdventure Wed 09-Nov-22 13:29:45

Oh yes, that's what, made it extra funny, the fact it was him! grin

I'm trying to remember who ended up snuggling up to a rat in his bed a few years ago... very funny!

It was Christopher Biggins, you can still see that clip on YouTube. Hilarious 😂

Anyone who is disgusted by Hancock et al and their handling of the pandemic, sending infected people back to care homes, track and trace sh*te, PPE scandal, breaking his own rules should not watch this programme. I suppose it depends how strong your morals are. Hancock has not one ounce of self awareness, this is part of him trying to rehabilitate his brand, by watching this programme you are contributing to that.

Totally agree. I heard one of his constituents on woman’s hour saying he was a useless MP. He should be apologising for his appalling handling of pandemic sending people to care homes and not protecting them. How donorople egide relatives died because if that seeing him cavorting around in this programne? (£400k fee a “part” of which will be given to’ charity. He’s a serving politician and should NOT be there

I like Boy George, and I think he will be involved in alot of arguments, especially if it involves food.
I also like Mike Tindall.

I can also see George getting into arguments. He’s already whinging about Charmaine (?) doing all the cooking and delegating jobs but in the next breath says ‘I need you to tell me what needs doing’ He also says he’s a good cook but doesn’t get the chance. How is he going to manage cooking crocodile tail or whatever if he’s vegan?

Helz Wed 09-Nov-22 13:11:56

Boy George did his time in prison & admitted he was high on drugs & drink think he’s been clean for years now

TanaMa Wed 09-Nov-22 13:04:52

If Boy George what about Ant and his conviction?! He's not all white and shiny!!

Did I see Richard Madely on the line up?
I like him, even though a lot of people don't, apparently.

He was on last year but had to leave early due to a “medical issue” I like him too so was disappointed, especially as I had to make do with David Ginola! 😍

DanniRae Wed 09-Nov-22 12:42:23

I suppose I should be really grateful for all those people who take the time to come on here and let us know that they think that "I'm a Celebrity......." is a load of rubbish but the truth is a don't give a flying do dah! and really don't care what they think!!!!!!!!

Nainijo Wed 09-Nov-22 12:42:20

I agree with the comments, I keep saying I wouldn’t watch it again, but I do every year! I am only watching it this year because of Matt Hancock, and hopefully he will get loads of bushtucker trials, I know I will give him all my votes 😂
I think I preferred it in the castle, although the scenery is beautiful in Australia, Ant and Dec do make it though and are hilarious

IrishDancing Wed 09-Nov-22 12:30:03

I’m with you ParlorGames!

ParlorGames Wed 09-Nov-22 12:23:43

A load of mindless twaddle in my opinion! These celebrities get paid a huge amount of money to appear on this daft reality show which is a total waste of time and never finds it way onto my TV screen.

DanniRae Wed 09-Nov-22 12:18:57

Babatunde and Mike are my favourites to win (at the moment).
How Scarlette can be in the jungle with her terrible fear of spiders I can not imagine. I am terrified of a creature I can't even name and I wouldn't go in the jungle for any amount of money on earth shockshockshock

MissAdventure Wed 09-Nov-22 12:02:42

I'm small minded enough to hope Hancock gets some awful trials.

HurdyGurdy Wed 09-Nov-22 11:56:08

I hope Hancock suffers severe hunger - just like the children he voted against feeding.

I don't think George should be in there, reportedly earning £500,000 for a maximum of three weeks' work, given what he was sent to prison for.

I thought Babatunde did really well last night, in that pouring rain. But the cynic in me wonders if the opening night fear of heights was exaggerated, so that he would be voted for the first trial involving heights, absolutely ace it, and get himself a free pass for several more trials because "he was such a trooper, despite his fear of heights".

Why did Mike Tindall pull the hero stunt by lighting a fire with a flint, when he was right next to a burning candle? Why not just use the candle?

HeavenLeigh Wed 09-Nov-22 11:42:29

Love boy George, I think he will lose it soon! There will be some clashes soon the hungrier they get, and I don’t think he will hold his tongue 🤣

Mindlessnes has its place I reckon.

It's probably quite good for mental health to zone out of real life for a while.

You can say that again. Life at present is grim for many. Some light relief is to be welcomed.

If you don't like it its perfectly fine not to watch it.
