I’ve just read it is returning!!!! Just seen video on the neighbours Facebook page. Think it is to be on Amazon or Netflix????

I'm very pleased even though I haven't watched it for years. It's good news for the actors, and for those who enjoy it.
I've never heard of Amazon freevee though.

Oh my I’m happy I’ve missed it.

I don't think this is a good idea, and I think it will fail. The inflated numbers during the last week were because it was ending and because there were some old characters back. People were just taking a farewell look. If they think those people will be back to watch it again they are sadly mistaken. Only the die-hard fans will watch it, the ones who were watching when it shut down!

What I would much rather just see are all the old episodes from years ago (which I think will be available as well). Now that will be fun, a trip down memory lane.

Just to add, how will they even manage this? All the sets were destroyed.

I believe Jeff Bezos isn’t short of a few bob smile

I’ve missed it too, I saw some pictures of the abandoned sets this week, they looked sad but not destroyed.

I haven't watched it for years, but I was quite a fan when it first hit our screens. I did wonder why it folded when it appeared to have a considerable fan base. ........and all those Hollywood careers launched too!

Oh for goodness sakes! NO.

I don't think it's a good idea either. I'd watched Neighbours from the beginning and I thought the ending it was given was appropriate, beautiful, and final.

With you there.

There's such a thing as flogging a dead horse isn't there?⁶

Hellogirl1 Thu 17-Nov-22 19:16:16

Well, I`m pleased about it anyway, I`ve missed it.

Chestnut Thu 17-Nov-22 23:54:09

We've all missed it, but there's no way I want it back. I'd much rather have a bit of light soapy relaxation by watching the hundreds of old episodes.

I don't think we have that. I would love it because I love all Aussie programmes. We still have Home and Away but I'm afraid it has gone right down the pan, really bad now. We had Five Bedrooms which was quite fun and also The Heights which I also enjoyed. I'll watch anything Aussie! I don't like the way British soaps are so dark, everyone is arguing all the time and shouting at each other even when they're not arguing. People I know don't talk to each other like that, so I don't know why they do it, but it's tiresome and draining to watch.
