Excellent!

Schama commenting on the way art and artists, -like Joe Lycett - try to reflect the political world about them.

In our life time.

Loved it. He's been everywhere and knows everyone!

The sort of person who teaches me so much.

I knew about Havel but not about his book “The Power of the Powerless” -

I’m going to get it.

Joe Lycett wasn’t a very good example though😳

I read Dr Zhivago as a teenager - I loved it. Time to read that again as well.

I actually watched it this week.

The information about Pasternak was amazing...I didn't know at all.

No nor me.

I need to do more reading.

It popped up on iplayer but I wasn’t sure if it was a repeat. I’ll check it out.

You will love it🙂

I think Schama is getting more political. Maybe he’s always been and I haven’t been aware of it before though.

There are 2 more to go. I’m hoping he will bring it up to present day, and point me in the direction of other artists or authors etc. I’m going to end up with a load of reading.

It is so good.

Brilliant - we’ve just been watching it.
