Anyone else just watched this lovely programme on Channel 4 about Raymond Briggs and the creative team of women animators who created the film?Lovely and made me finally feel ready for Christmas.

Me too washerwoman. I’ve already watched the cartoon, one afternoon hiding from the freezing weather, so didn’t stay on the channel for it today. It’s Christmas now for sure.

My OH did all the original artwork for the printing of the books, Then he did the work for the pop up version.
The best popup book he did was The Karmasutra 😳

I was so lucky as a teenager to hear Howard Blake play the music he composed for the Snowman - live on a friend's grand piano. I've had a soft spot for the film ever since and think the art work is amazing. Thank you Merylstreep's OH.
