Great. Thanks. I’m currently watching Wales Home of the Year on iplayer but I prefer the presenters on the Scottish one.

Darn it. Only on in Scotland. Hopefully it will be on iplayer. It was one of the programmes that got me through lockdowns even though I did lose a filling whilst watching it late one night and chomping on a rice cake so I tend to associate it with dentists. Or, given that it was lockdown, lack of them. Still love it, though.

Just had a look MayBee70 and it says it will be on iPlayer shortly after broadcast. But put away the rice cakes 😃

The house that won was my favourite!

Missed it as out yesterday evening. Will watch on i-player.

I loved the winning house and the one before it in the programme, they couldn’t have been more different but both wonderful.
But what I loved the most was that amazing octopus wall-paper in the fifth house, never seen it before.
And is it just me, or does anyone else find nutcrackers, especially full sized ones scary? I know they represent good things to keep a family safe, etc. but I’d have nightmares if I had to spend time in the house that had lots of them, I can imagine them coming alive through the night. Shudder!

I just said to my DH, if we had that many nutcrackers on the steps, I'd be taking a header down the stairs every day!! 🤣

I know it’s not very Christmassy of me but I always wonder in these programmes how some people can afford to live in such grand houses!

I enjoyed the programme. All lovely although very different houses. Such attention to detail. I’d love to spend a holiday in the winning farmhouse. Sitting by a log fire looking out at the view.

Michael Angus got very emotional in that house, didn’t he. He lost his daughter when she was a child and does a lot of charity walks I believe because of it. When he talks about home and family it must touch a raw nerve with him quite often. Banjo was a delight. I hope they keep him in the series.

My mistake. It was his young son who died. He writes childrens books in his memory amongst many other things. He seems to be a wonderful, lovely person but every now and again he’ll say something that is so poignant.
