I’m loving this series. I’ve always enjoyed walking and this showcases many different parts of the UK. I just wish there was a series set in Lancashire!
Can anyone tell me where Annie might have bought her peach coloured padded jacket? (Yorkshire walks). I love it!

Heel - I hated it!

Heel??

That started out as yeek but was autocorrected it appears. Sorry!

😂 What did you hate about the programme?

I much much prefer “winter walks” .

Solitude, peace and appreciation of the countryside.

That is how I like to walk.

I was trying to refer to the peach jacket before my typo made it nonsense. But the programme was watchable at best, I wouldn’t seek it out again. The mixture of people seemed odd and I really didn’t like the bit at the end about the rocks looking like a dinosaur and the wittering about the seals. I love winter walks, a classy programme.

I only caught the last half of the last episode on Friday. Do they still have to provide a picnic?
In the last series I was entertained by what each hiker was providing to eat.

Quite enjoyed it but do they have to scream and shout their appreciation of everything.? It is all so noisy. I’m sure those seals would have been disturbed by all that Wow, whoo hoo stuff.

When is this on please? Sounds interesting.

It’s on BBC 2grannyrebel 6:30 weekdays, Last week was Yorkshire. Five people chose their individual walks and they vote for the best. Next week , tomorrow, I think it is Skye.

MiniMoon
Each host has to provide a home made lunch and entertain the group with local information and some surprises. The prog is available on BBC iPlayer.

I enjoy any walking programme, especially Julia Bradbury’s. I’ve watched all the Winter Walks. I do wish there were more done in Lancashire - everything seems to focus on ‘God’s Own Country’. I do like Yorkshire - we have relatives there, but there are so many TV programmes about the county!
I’m still hoping someone can give me some info about Annie’s jacket, please…😎👍

Not enjoying Skye so much. The participants seem not to gel.

I watched it after seeing this thread.
Sorry but it was just dreadful.

After saying I wouldn’t seek it out again, my husband has watched the last two episodes so I’ve been drawn in. Last night was okay. Tonight’s was maddening with the overly jolly and enthusiastic woman. I missed the voting due to a call, but how can you take people on a hike that two are scared of undertaking part of? Selfish!

DH said she was like Mrs Cranky.
