Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 10:47:48

Fanny I've sent you a pm.

Smileless2012 Wed 11-Jan-23 10:44:11

It's no longer private now that it's been included in his memoirs; he'd made it public.

Smileless2012 Wed 11-Jan-23 10:43:06

I query his claim that he dug with his bare hands.

Current C of E practice is most definitely to bury babies, at whatever age they died.

Since when has this been the practice? My friend’s daughter lost a baby at 16 weeks and wasn’t given the choice of burial or any other means of disposal. It wasn’t offered.

My DiL miscarried 5 times, my darling sister 8 times neither were offered a burial for their babies, even the late term ones.

Here’s guidance from Tommy’s which explains what the process is.
www.tommys.org/baby-loss-support/miscarriage-information-and-support/frequently-asked-questions-about-miscarriage/what-happens-my-baby-after-miscarriage
In summary, if you have an early miscarriage in hospital you can either ask for the foetus and take it away, arrange a funeral director, ask for it to be included in a mass burial arranged by the hospital, or it will be disposed of with clinical waste by the hospital. Not all options are available at all hospitals - but it is entirely plausible that the Sussexes were able to arrange their own private burial - it’s not illegal for it not to be on consecrated ground either.
This is one element of Harry’s story that I think should not be queried however much people want to diss what he says, it’s private and he shouldn’t be expected to say more about it.

GB News Fanny With Dan Wooton.

Must be true. They wouldn't make things up.

OK, that in itself tarnishes the 'evidence'. That site of extreme-right wing, alternative facts.

merlotgran Wed 11-Jan-23 10:24:11

Now I don't know if it would be possible to use your hands to dig under a Banyan tree either?

I don’t think it would be easy. 🤔

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 10:23:21

Thank you.
Oh dear, I can’t stand Dan Wooton

🙋‍♀️ Please Miss! Where was the Bower interview?

The rumour is that she went to jail for tax evasion involving a travel agency she was running

And I think the nearest ‘proof’ anyone could come up with was that her landlord once applied for a court order to evict her. It didn’t give a reason for her eviction.

Now Harry is blaming the media for printing excerpts out of context to make him look bad.Considering the criticism of the media in their interviews, and now the book, is he really so naive to have believed he would get a fair reporting? From what I’ve seen, all his ‘bombshells’ have been vague and thinly veiled accusations, and it’s the press who have reported them dramatically. I’m sure many people who are enraged at them are basing their rage on headlines and internet posts!
‘Harry attacks Camilla’
‘ Trashing the Royal Family’
‘ Harry slams ‘uncaring’ Kate’
etc etc

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 10:06:39

Oh go on! If its true you can't be done for libel or anything else! Tell us! Tell us! What has the unimpeachable Bower come up with now!?!

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 10:02:40

No volver. Oh dear to you dear! Libel laws are very complicated and it’s not as simple as truth. What he did say was bad enough so by your reasoning that must be true and it involved illegal activity!

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:56:08

Libellous. Yes indeed.

Which means if he had said it he would have known it wasn't true.

Oh dear...

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 09:52:54

Oh volver!! Google again. One can find all sorts on Google and much of it untrue. Tom Bower’s far too smart to say libellous stuff on tv. I’d love to repeat what he did say!

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 09:50:17

I don’t know where you can find it. I sat and watched it and if you read my comment you’ll note he didn’t say where she was. I would like to say what he did say but I’ll probably get reported even though I’d be repeating what was said on national tv.

volver. “Inbuilt bias”. Like yours you mean? Difference is Tom Bower is a respected author and previously an investigative journalist for the BBC. I’d much rather listen to his facts than Harry and Meghan’s lies.

Google's first answer. Made up, I suppose.

volver I am not "hinting" anything - don't deliberately misinterpret - I just said I was curious.

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:44:00

She was in LA I believe, being a yoga teacher and an air stewardess or something.

If you are seriously hinting that she was in prison, best get yourself a good lawyer....🤣

FannyCornforth Wed 11-Jan-23 09:42:56

Where was Tom Bower interviewed? I liked his book about Johnson

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 09:42:29

volver Where was she then? Curious. Please give source.

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Jan-23 09:41:34

tickingbird Where can I find the Tom Bower interview please?

volver Wed 11-Jan-23 09:40:55

Oh not this again.

Doria hasn't been in prison, whatever the sainted Tom Bower implies.

That alone is enough to make him an unreliable source with inbuilt bias.

tickingbird Wed 11-Jan-23 09:39:02

Apart from anything else would a hospital give someone a foetus to carry away? I’ll be frank I don’t believe much of what he says and watched Tom Bower being interviewed last night and he was extremely scathing. He says a lot of the book has been written by Meghan and he said some things that I won’t repeat on here but he said them on national tv and made it clear that legally he wasn’t worried. He only stopped short when Doria’s missing years were mentioned when he said legally he couldn’t say where she was for over 10 years whilst Meghan lived with her Dad. Pretty damning stuff about Harry.

It's all so melodramatic isn't it. Using his bare hands to dig in the earth and when recounting then 'phone call he can't have received about the death of the Queen's mother "the weather bright and warm, light slanting through my window, filled with vivid colour"hmm.

I did see on another post where someone queried the fact that it may be impossible to dig with your hands under a Banyan tree due to it's root structure... I did google a pic of "the root structure of a banyan tree" and it was very complex.

Now I don't know if it would be possible to use your hands to dig under a Banyan tree either? confused
