What a horrible thing to say Joseanne no father expects to have to tell his children that their mother's died, whatever their age.

He really is unpleasant.

Thanks Granny Gravy that’s really cheered me up. I was beginning to think the whole country was going crazy.

Joseanne Tue 10-Jan-23 12:19:55

Interesting about viewing habits. It isn't the quantity of H & M programmes someone watches - he number of hours is still in single figures for the whole lot - it is what someone takes from even the smallest dabbling in to it.

Glorianny

Poor Harry if he takes money from the RF he's scrounging, if he makes money from selling his story he's exploiting the RF, if he donates money to charity it's irrelevant.
Just can't win can he?

Can someone explain to me what they want him to do given that. he is paying his own way, not scrounging, but because of his birth and family connections he needs the best possible security and a safe place to live?

He was worth an estimated 60 millions dollars before the book was released Glorianny, he has more than enough to live on.

Yes, it upset me and coloured the programme from the start.

TBH I'm glad I didn't watch it and haven't watched any of it.

Maybe you can explain why Harry's story had to include such things as his father's health problems, his brother's circumcision, his father's teddy habit et al? How are they "Harry's story"? He's abusing the trust of private conversations and knowledge for his personal profit. Why doesn't he just renounce his title, only given to him because of his birth into a family he despises, and get a proper job, which is exactly what the whole lot would have to do if we cancel the Monachy, the wish of some on here?
Many young women today do not take their husband's name or assign themselves Mrs, so at the very least you'd expect Meghan to drop the whole "Duchess of Sussex" bit given she has no intention of ever undertaking any Royal duties that go with the title.

It’s been said many times on GN and other sites, but Harry constantly blaming the paparazzi for his mother’s death…

A big if only but yes, if only she had worn a seatbelt, if only they had just decided to stay overnight at the Ritz instead of dashing off on a pointless mission that enabled the paps to pursue them, if only the driver had been sober…..

Harry mentioned none of these in his interview.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 10-Jan-23 12:56:21

Because he will never apportion blame to his sainted mother or anyone but the press. He’s obsessed.

Mollygo Tue 10-Jan-23 13:10:53

Giving money to charity is irrelevant?
Only if it’s used by the giver or by other people as justification for doing something unkind. I wonder how subscribers to the ‘eye for an eye’ school of thought have decided what measure H should use.

Calendargirl, @12:47 why would H mention those points? They wouldn’t fit his story.

I was an only child, my father died when I was eleven.
My mother came to wake me up on
the Sunday morning saying, well it’s just the two of us now but it will be ok, that was all she said.
My father was on the bed covered with a sheet in the living room until the day of the funeral.

The funeral was held on Wednesday and I went back to school on Thursday with a note explaining my absence.
The head teacher read it ,silence for a minute and then said, who is your form teacher.
I told her and she dismissed me.
That was all that was said.
This was in 1949.
We were left very poor I will say.
Has it affected my life?
I can’t say but I just got on with things even at that age.
Of course this wasn’t in the public eye but the effect on me was the same and we didn’t have a loving family or limitless money to compensate.

Right there ^^

He didn't fix blame between his mum, dad, and Camilla. Three to tango.

Joseanne Tue 10-Jan-23 13:35:08

Oh dear, Harry has been told to evacuate due to the floods.
Hopefully it won't be seen as Camilla's fault, or William's fault!

I’m sure they must have had a hand in it somehow!

GrannySomerset Tue 10-Jan-23 13:45:15

Like ann my father died when I was young (4) and then my mother when I was 16. I did not turn to drink, drugs or prostitution and built a life for myself without a lot of adult input. Prince Harry is nearing 40 and needs to take responsibility for his own actions instead of blaming everyone else. I would be ashamed if he was a relative of mine!

There were rainbows seen in Edinburgh and Scotland when the Queen’s cortège passed by. Maybe she is showing her upset.

Granmarderby10 Tue 10-Jan-23 14:14:05

I fell asleep watching it. Might try again….but Harrys’ voice and speech pattern is similar to Gordon Ramseys’ and this has not endeared me to him🫤

LauraNorderr Tue 10-Jan-23 14:14:12

Sky news, heard the Sussexes to be evacuated, subtitles read the Suffixes.
Freudian slip?

But it pours and pours

OnwardandUpward Tue 10-Jan-23 14:22:48

I can't see anything that says they have evacuated. It says they might have.

I'd have thought security might be a problem with kids and dogs plus staff (especially now he has made them even more unsafe), so my idea was that they might have a panic room in their mansion.

OnwardandUpward Tue 10-Jan-23 14:25:06

Sky news (5 hours ago) said they were ordered to evacuate. But when have they ever followed orders?

Maybe I missed something.
